007: First Light has officially launched—which means it’s time to start tracking down the collectibles.

There are several types of collectibles in the game, but the most valuable for achievement hunters are the *Legacy* items. There are nine of them in total, each serving as a nod to the classic Bond films. Collect them all, and you’ll unlock the “A Legacy in Spycraft” trophy. And yes, this happens to be one of the easiest non-story-related achievements in the game.

Where to Find Legacy Collectibles in 007 First Light?

On the map, these items are marked with a tiny white dot. Simply approach the spot and press the interaction button; the item will immediately appear in your Collections menu. You won’t physically pick it up (unlike items such as the playing cards), so don’t be alarmed if the icon remains hovering in place after you interact with it. Below, you’ll find all nine locations. Let’s get started.

Cross Shaped Key in Mission Against All Odds

The first collectible is hidden inside the hostage camp. Head toward the center of the camp, locate the large white shipping container, and climb inside through the open window. The key is lying on the right side, next to a smashed TV screen.

Dagger Shoes in Chapter A Rather Delicate Matter

You’ll return to Q-Branch for a second visit during the game; after speaking with Q in the Wearables section, don’t be in a rush to leave. Approach the central table and take a look at the pair of brown shoes. Blades are protruding from the toes—it’s a bit creepy, but it adds the item to your collection.

Chess Biography in Level All the Time in the World

This occurs during the free-roam exploration of the hotel during the chess tournament. Descend two floors and cross over to the opposite side of the building. You’ll find a small lounge area situated directly above the main entrance—there are people inside. Don’t be shy; go on in. The book, *Chess Biography*, is sitting on a small side table next to the sofa.

ATAC Device in Mission The Past Never Dies

This one requires a little bit of extra effort. Progress through the level until you receive the objective to earn $100,000 for the auction. Descend the stairs, then turn onto the path to the left leading toward the large anchor. Turn right under the canopy—you’ll find a man there talking on the phone. Eavesdrop on the conversation; this triggers the “Crypto Wallet” side quest. Play through the quest until you reach the tower. You need to cross the beam covered in blue tarpaulin, but do *not* climb the tower itself. Instead, drop down onto the smaller beam below and walk across it to the ledge—the ATAC device is waiting right there.

Concert Poster in Chapter Unexpected Guest

Make your way into the gala (yes, you’ll have to swipe someone else’s invitation). As soon as you enter the café—distinguished by the massive bar counter in the center—head toward the far-right corner. You’ll find a small dining area there; a Concert Poster is sitting on a table in the left corner of the room. It’s a small find, but a nice little bonus.

Blades Club Sign in Mission Knight Strike

Make your way to Webb’s penthouse. Immediately upon entering, look to your right—you’ll see a bar counter. The sign is sitting right on top of it. It’s hard to miss, provided you aren’t rushing through the level headlong.

Tarot Deck at the Villa in Chapter Time to Die

The resort: Ramon’s villa. There are several ways to infiltrate the premises, but the most elegant approach is to swipe a yoga instructor’s ID card from the “Cave of Tranquility” and pose as an instructor. Head inside, chat with Ramon, and once the conversation is over, you’ll be given free rein to explore. Proceed to the bedroom; the Tarot deck is waiting on the nightstand beside the bed.

Trilby Hat in Cloakroom Chapter Man of the Hour

After your dialogue with Q, you need to swipe some supplies. Head toward the cloakroom (it’s located right next to the elevators). There is a hat in one of the fitting rooms. Go over and pick it up. It’s stylish—though the collections themselves remain indifferent.

Specification Jaws in Future Shock Mission

The final—ninth—Legacy item. You will enter the Robotics Department and proceed through a demonstration alongside your supervisor. As soon as you regain freedom of movement, turn left. In the corner, resting atop a black container, you will find the specification. Pick it up and enjoy your trophy.

How to Collect Missing Items Through Chapter Selection?

Did you miss a couple of pieces on the first pass? Don’t panic. None of the 92 collectible items in the game are lost forever. However, the menu is crooked when you click on the Touchpad.: It shows general statistics by category, but it won’t tell you exactly where you forgot a specific item. You’ll have to navigate blindly and climb into Chapter Select.

In the main menu, load your save and click Select Chapter. Then everything is easy. Select the desired mission and immediately jump to a specific checkpoint. They won’t force you to replay the entire level from the very beginning. There is an important detail with the save slots. The replay creates a separate file (there are 5 in total), so your main campaign is completely safe. They took the loot, went to the menu and pressed the normal download to return to the current progress. By the way, you don’t need to play to the checkpoint. The item is counted per second of selection.

Why Gadgets Are Unavailable When You Try Again?

This is where the non-obvious trick lies. The Chapter Select system automatically gives you exactly the equipment that is set in the plot at a particular moment. That is, if you return to the beginning of the game, the powerful Laser Strap (unlocked only in Chapter 9) will simply disappear from the inventory.

If a treasured piece of Heritage is locked behind a solid grate, you need a reinforced concrete gadget. You’ll have to trick and trigger checkpoints from Chapter 9 or later, where the equipment is already open. A good setup for clearing locations looks like this: Q-Watch (we get it in Chapter 4) to highlight loot in yellow using the L1/LB button, in addition, the same laser for demolishing locks.

What to Do if You Do Not Get Achievements for Collecting Items?

Have you collected everything, but there is no platinum? You are not alone. Tracking broke down significantly on release: players are vacuuming the map, but the cherished achievements of “A Legacy in Spycraft” and “A Collector’s Habit” persistently do not fall out. The developers from IO Interactive are already aware of the problem — it turned out that the server needs from 5 to 10 minutes to digest your progress after selecting the latest gizmo. How to push through the suspended trophy:

  • Go to the main menu, load into the Tactical Simulation hub and dig into the price with your collection. This will force synchronization with the servers.
  • We are waiting. The tracker is tightly tied to online, so server delays in the first weeks of release are the norm.
  • If Steam or PlayStation consoles are silent anyway, score and wait for the patch. The main official recommendation is not to try to go through the collection again. Progress is safe, it is temporarily invisible.

And the last nuance. The locations are littered with all sorts of trash like newspapers and flash drives that pretend to be important. A real Heritage Item is always marked with a gray bookmark icon when viewed, and when taken, it gives out a golden “New Collectible” bar on the right side of the screen. Did you notice a white dot on the map, but the gold didn’t flash? Another bug. Restarting the chapter through the same checkpoint heals everything.

Good to know: complete achievements roadmap for 100%.
