The whole point of “Grow a Garden 2” on Roblox boils down to a simple formula: plant something cheap, get something expensive, sell it, and buy an even crazier plant. And so on, until your farm starts bringing in millions of shekels. But not all crops are created equal. Some are downright unprofitable—buy it for 15,000 and sell it for 6,000. Yes, that’s the Mushroom.
We’ve broken down all the available plants: purchase price, base selling price, and the ability to harvest multiple times. We’ve also compiled a tier list to make sure you don’t waste your money. Let’s get started.

Seed Ranking and the Best Plants in Grow a Garden 2
We based the ranking on selling price and potential. Some crops only yield profit after mutations or at a large size. Mechanisms and pets are a big help here—they increase the chance of mutations and increase the size of the fruits. Without them, even top-tier seeds can perform poorly.
The Most Profitable S-Tier Crops for Farming
This category is a goldmine. Not only do these plants sell for a lot of money, but they often yield multiple harvests, and some even protect the bed (Venus Fly Trap, Dragon’s Breath).

-
Dragon’s Breath
-
Ghost Pepper
-
Venus Fly Trap
-
Moon Bloom
-
Pomegranate
Tier A Plants with High Resale Value
This category is also quite good, although some crops (like Mushroom) only yield a single harvest. However, their base resale value is high.
-
Poison Ivy
-
Poison Apple
-
Sunflower
-
Glow Mushroom
-
Mushroom
Stable Tier B Seeds for a Quick Start
Decent returns relative to investment. Bamboo deserves a special mention—a personal favorite for starting out. It always pays off, and the risk is practically zero.

-
Acorn
-
Bamboo
-
Horned Melon
-
Cherry
-
Dragon Fruit
Tier C crops with a medium income
You’ll grow these plants when you’re tired of junk crops, but haven’t saved up for elite ones yet. They offer a stable, but not explosive, income.
Apple, Banana, Baby Cactus, Cactus, Corn, Coconut, Grape, Green Bean, Mango, Pineapple
Useless Tier D seed seeds for beginners
Very cheap, very useless after the start. Buying them later is like throwing away shekels.
Carrot, Tomato, Blueberry, Strawberry, Tulip
Roblox seed purchase and sale price chart
This data is new; some values have been verified with the community wiki. The base selling price is the minimum. Larger plants or plants with mutations will sell for more.

Payback Calculation and Net ROI for All Plants
Why this section is important: Most guides show you the purchase and sale prices. But they don’t tell you the most important thing: what percentage of profit you’ll actually earn from a single seed, taking into account multiple harvesting. This is critical when deciding whether to save up for Dragon’s Breath or grab a pack of Bamboo.
We calculated ROI (Return on Investment)—the ratio of net profit to costs, as a percentage. For crops with multiple harvests, we used the minimum profit for 5 harvests (without mutations or pets). If a plant produces fruit every 5 minutes, you’ll get this amount in 25 minutes. In reality, with bonuses, the figures will be higher.
Here’s a table that competitors don’t have:
What we see: Most expensive crops in the basic version (without mutations and pet bonuses) are unprofitable. This is a paradox, but it reveals the game mechanics: you must invest in pets and mutations to unlock real profit from top seeds. At the start, Bamboo and Tulik provide a guaranteed, albeit modest, profit. Carrot generally gives a 400% ROI, but you’ll quickly outgrow this stage.
Lesson for beginners: don’t rush for Moon Bloom right away. Build up your pets, increase your mutation chances, and then Tier S will start working in your favor. For now, welcome to the Bamboo Club.
