The Game Kitchen studio quietly released the free content expansion, The Third Sin, for their brutal Metroidvania, Blasphemous 2. However, you won’t be able to jump right into the new content—the developers have thrown in a quest to find the right route.
It’s best to be prepared when navigating the new locations. Local bosses and regular enemies hit hard, so before starting the DLC, we strongly recommend completing the original game’s story campaign and maxing out Penitent One. If your character is ready for new challenges, the exact sequence is below.
How to activate The Third Sin in Blasphemous 2?
The starting point is the “City of the Blessed Name.” You need to reach the central square and find the only Prie Dieu there—it’s from this shrine that we’ll begin our journey to the new content.
Instructions for starting the DLC:

Finding the key artifact. From the aforementioned Prie Dieu, run to the right. Ignore the first staircase that goes up and continue forward until you see a passage with a staircase leading down.

Overcoming obstacles. Descend and continue to the right. There will be a high ledge ahead; to reach it, you’ll need to double jump and activate your wall climbing skill. Immediately beyond this obstacle will be a door to the next room.

Obtaining the Mist-Whispering Lamp. Inside the room is a stone coffin. Interact with it to collect the quest item, the Mist-Whispering Lamp. Once you exit the room, the game will trigger a short cutscene confirming the activation of the DLC quest chain.

Travel to a new location. With the lamp in your pocket, return to the town Prie Dieu. Activate fast travel and teleport to the shrine located at the very bottom of the “Chorus of Thorns” zone.
From there, head right again until you reach halls shrouded in thick fog. Proceed straight through this fog. After another short dialogue, continue right to the cliff—there’s a boat moored near the shore. Board it and cross the lake.
Your final destination is “Castle of Fog,” the starting location of The Third Sin expansion.
