The game does not forgive temptations. Especially when it comes to Jokers — every choice you make can either pay off or send the game to hell in a matter of minutes. The problem is that Jokers are random. You cannot nail a perfect build from the very first minute — you have to tinker on the fly and make the most of what luck throws at you. In this mode, it is easy to make a mistake: you grab a nice bonus, only to find it a waste of a slot. Or you miss a really powerful one because you did not notice it.

To help you avoid such traps, we have compiled ten Jokers that consistently pay off. If you see one, grab it without thinking. Let us go.

Top 10 Jokers for an Easy Start in Far Far West

  • Bell Shot — creates healing bells. Shoot them to restore your health right in battle. Your survivability soars instantly, and this is not a one-time heal, but a constant source of healing.
  • Pick Pick — Hits generate pickaxes that add free damage. A passive that scales with your attacks. Enemies are simply swept away.
  • Cactus Day — Kill a mob and receive a cactus mine. It explodes in an area. Perfect against crowds when enemies are coming from all sides.
  • Ricochet — Your shots ricochet off adjacent targets. This usually turns a single-target weapon into a wave-clearing tool without a single penalty. It is expensive, but it is truly worth it.
  • Glass Cannon — Damage skyrockets, health plummets. It sounds risky, but the bonus is so huge that in 90% of builds you simply will not notice the downside. Unless, of course, you get killed in two hits. Then you will have to decide for yourself.
  • Speedster — The faster you move, the higher your attack speed and damage. And in this game, you are constantly moving anyway, so the bonus almost always works.
  • Second Wind — when you would be dead, it provides life-saving healing or even resurrects. Pure insurance that can save a failed run. It is especially helpful in high waves.
  • Focus Shot — kills reduce spell cooldowns. It allows you to spam abilities nonstop — one of the strongest playstyles for this Joker.
  • Frenzy Spin — for each kill, you gain a temporary attack speed buff. In long fights or dense waves, your damage per second goes through the roof. Fast, scary, and effective.
  • Overblast — your explosions trigger more explosions. Against clusters of enemies, this chain reaction turns any firefight into a fireworks display. The only downside is that you will not blow yourself up (just kidding, but caution does not hurt).

Explosive joker chain reaction

The list is quite diverse — it includes healing, pure damage, and saving you from death. The main rule is this: if you see someone from this top ten, take them without looking. You will thank me later. And if you skip it, well, Far Far West will remind you of your mistake in the next wave.

The Best Joker Builds in Far Far West: From Glass Cannons to Tanks

A single successful Joker is a nice 20% survivability bonus, but the real game begins when you assemble a synergy that works. In Far Far West, winning is not about simply stacking bonuses, but about making mechanics multiply. The right combination creates a vicious cycle: one element provides the spark, the other fans the flames. We have selected four builds that consistently survive into the late game and do not crumble if random players decide to give you junk loot.

Damage Build: Glass Cannon and Second Wind

Pure risk management in action. Glass Cannon boosts your damage by a whopping 60–80%, turning any character into an annihilator cannon, but the price for this is critical fragility. This is where Second Wind comes into play: this wildcard simply ignores the first fatal hit and instantly restores some health. The result is a death machine with an extra life.

  • What to play: Any weapon with outrageous DPS (shotguns, SMGs, or laser launchers).
  • Important note: We strongly advise against using wildcards like Berserker or Blood Pact in your third slot. If you cut your base HP too much, Second Wind simply will not have time to work — you will be wiped out faster than the resurrection animation even starts.

Wave Clear Build: Ricochet and Pick Pick

The perfect solution for those who hate clearing crowds of mobs manually. Pick Pick floods the screen with free pickaxes with every hit, Ricochet makes them ricochet onto nearby targets, and Frenzy Spin provides a powerful attack speed boost for each kill. By the third wave, your damage output begins to grow exponentially: more frags = higher tempo = more picks and ricochets.

  • Optimal setup: Rapid-fire assault rifles or machine guns.
  • Mistakes: Do not try this with sniper rifles. The low rate of fire simply will not allow the cycle to ramp up, and the synergy will be nipped in the bud.

Magic Build: Infinite Casting via Focus Shot

A build for those who enjoy magic and an explosive playstyle. Focus Shot drastically reduces ability cooldowns with each kill, and Overblast turns any pinpoint explosion into a chain reaction. The mechanics are simple: cast an AoE skill, the crowd is annihilated, cooldowns are reset, and you are ready to cast again. (Especially effective with grenade launchers, fire walls, and orbital strikes.)

  • Weakness: Bosses. Since there are no small enemy groups in the arena, your reload cycle can be interrupted. Always keep something with high single-target damage in your holster.

Solo Survival Build: Bell Shot and Cactus Day

Solo survival cactus mines

The best choice for solo runs if your goal is to guarantee a 20+ wave. Bell Shot provides consistent healing by knocking out bells, Cactus Day automatically mines the arena after each kill, and Speedster allows you to constantly maneuver and increase your damage output. You do not just run from enemies — you lure them into your own minefields, shooting off healing bonuses along the way. Solo mode is forgiving of a slow start, but by the time the difficulty starts to bite, you become practically invulnerable.

Comparison Table of Top Joker Builds by Role

Build Style Strength Weakness When to Pick
Glass Cannon + Second Wind Burst Damage One-shots + Insurance Fragile in long waves Short runs, bosses
Pick Pick + Ricochet + Frenzy Spin Wave Clear Exponential DPS Weak against single targets Crowds, mid-length waves
Focus Shot + Overblast Mage / AoE Infinite skill spam Performance drop on bosses Co-op clear, events
Bell Shot + Cactus Day + Speedster Solo Survival Self-heal + Auto-damage Slow start-up Solo, long runs

Build Strategy and Common Joker Conflicts

Sometimes even the strongest Jokers cannot save you from an embarrassing crash in the lobby. Typically, the cause lies in systemic miscalculations in the character build. To avoid losing the game, check your build for these red flags:

  1. Slot greed. Trying to cram five Jokers without any point of contact results in no mechanic being fully utilized. Two strong triggers are better than five useless bonuses.
  2. Weapon conflict. Using Ricochet with a sniper rifle or Overblast without a single burst skill is a recipe for defeat. Your weapon should be the foundation for your Jokers, not a hindrance.
  3. Ignoring defense. Pure damage is only good up to wave 15+. Without the safety net of Second Wind or the constant healing from Bell Shot, any stray bullet will send you to the restart screen.
  4. Trigger wars. If you have two Jokers that require a KPS to activate, they can start to compete for the same enemy pool. As a result, the effectiveness of both drops.
