PUBG Mobile developers have revealed the main features of the 4.4 update — and this time the list is quite dense. New Elimination Counter, collaboration with Ford, redesign of the Special Skills system. Let’s take it in order.

AUG finally gets his kill counter

The Elimination Counter system in PUBG Mobile is being updated: version 4.4 adds a counter for AUG. Stormtrooper has long deserved a visual award for a series of kills — and here it is. For those who build the game around medium distances, this is a nice bonus.
Something else is interesting. Early leaks included counters for DP-28 and Vector — and they were called priority ones. Until they appeared, which is typical. The developers do not comment: either they moved it to the next patch, or they quietly redesigned the mechanics. The community is already building theories.
Ford Motor Cruise: Mustang and Shelby on battle maps

One of the main innovations is the official collaboration with Ford. In 4.4, the roulette Motor Cruise is launched with Ford Shelby supercars, including the Mustang. Cars can be customized and upgraded — this has already worked in previous PUBG Mobile auto-events, but now the content level is noticeably different. Speed, drift, style — and real benefits when leaving the zone or in the final match.
Honor Roulette, Lucky Coins and Free Loot

In parallel, an updated Honor Roulette with rare skins and myths is being released. Plus, a special event is linked to the 4.4 release: quests, missions and quizzes, for which Lucky Coins, collection cards and upgrades are given. You don’t have to pay anything — just come in and complete the tasks. Apparently, Krafton wants to retain the audience with an initial buffer of awards.
The Icarus Test and the new logic of Special Skills

The Special Skills leveling system is changing in 4.4: now you need to complete thematic trials to gain skills. One of them is the Icarus Trial. The reward is legendary wings, which work both as cosmetics in the lobby and as a status marker on the battlefield. It’s not the most trivial way to distribute skills, but the idea is clear: to make the process of receiving content more tangible, and not just buy and forget.
The release date of the 4.4 update for PUBG Mobile has not yet been officially announced. We are following the announcements.
