There are games that fight for the galaxy. And there are those who wash it. FuturLab chose the second path — and, frankly, it’s high time.

The developer announced the release of the paid Star Wars Pack add-on for PowerWash Simulator 2. Judging by the teaser trailer, players will have to take on high-pressure washers in the vast expanses of desert Tatooine, snow-covered Hoth and Rebel hangars, where dirt has been accumulating on the X-wing hulls for years, which no one, apparently, was going to touch.

The DLC is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2026 — the exact date has not yet been announced.

PowerWash Simulator 2 DLC: The History of Collaborations and Why Star Wars is the Best of them

This is not the first such experiment for the series. The original game managed to work with Warhammer 40K and — suddenly — Shrek. The second part received an addition to the Adventure Time universe at the beginning of the year. Every time it seemed: well, where is it getting weirder? It turns out that there is a place to go.

The Star Wars Pack differs from previous collaborations not in the scale of the license, but in its internal logic. Star Wars is the only major fantasy universe where dirt is part of the canon. Here, the equipment does not sparkle by default. It creaks, leaks, and is held together by honest word and blue electrical tape. The Millennium Falcon is an icon precisely because it looks like a space Zhiguli with a mileage of parsecs. High-pressure washing here does not contradict the spirit of the universe. She matches him.

What is included in the Star Wars Pack for PowerWash Simulator 2: locations and objects

The trailer highlighted several areas that need to be put in order:

  • Tatooine’s deserts are red dust, moisture trap farms, and everything that no one has cleaned for decades.
  • The icy plains of Hoth — snow and clinging ice on Alliance vehicles after a hasty evacuation
  • X-wing and other Rebel ships — according to the trailer, in a state of “fresh from battle”

FuturLab is holding back the full list of objects for now. But if you follow the logic of previous DLCs, there will be surprises.

Why Star Wars and PowerWash Simulator 2 are made for each other

Lucas’s prequels have received a lot of fair criticism—and one of the reasons was precisely the visual. Coruscant glittered like a rendering from an advertisement, Naboo looked like a decoration for a tourist brochure. The original trilogy worked differently: every droid there was scratched, every hangar had oil stains on the floor, and every stormtrooper helmet had a story inside.

PowerWash Simulator 2 offers a strange but honest way to interact with this universe. Not to fight, not to build, not to manage the fleet — but just to take a sink and restore order where there has never been one. It sounds absurd, but it is precisely in this absurdity that the main charm of the game lies. She’s not pretending to be an epic. She knows what she’s doing, and she does it with pleasure.

This approach to Star Wars, oddly enough, feels more respectful than many high-profile licensed projects.

PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC: release date and where to buy on Steam

The Star Wars Pack has already appeared on the Steam page, but it is still closed for purchase. FuturLab is promised to be released in the summer of 2026 — it won’t be long now.

For those who have not yet launched the game itself: PowerWash Simulator 2 has long ceased to be a niche curiosity. This is a full-fledged relaxation hit with thoughtful content and an unexpectedly strong sense of satisfaction from the process. The Star Wars Pack, apparently, will only strengthen this reputation.

The galaxy is dirty. Someone has to fix this.
