The dragon in Crimson Desert is certainly an impressive sight. But when you finally get the Black Star in Chapter 11, your joy quickly turns to mild disappointment. You can summon it for only 15 minutes. And then you have to wait 50 minutes of real time for the cooldown to run out. Seriously? Luckily, the developers left a loophole.

Narima’s Horn Relief instantly resets this timer. Below is how to obtain the blueprint, gather the materials, and craft this thing without restrictions.

Where to get the blueprint for Narima’s Horn Relief?

desert ruins exploration

Go to the Ruins east of Tashkalp. There, activate the “Excavation of the Dilapidated Ruins” quest—it will appear automatically when you approach the zone. Prepare to spend a lot:

  • 10 mercenaries
  • 72 game hours
  • Camp weapons: 11,000
  • Camp stone: 17,000
  • Camp wood: 17,000
  • Camp food: 24,000
  • Camp funds: 30,000 coins

After completing the quest, check your personal storage on Wolf Hill. The blueprint may be among your rewards. Or it may not be. Drops are random. Therefore, it’s a wise move to manually save a couple of hours before the end of the quest. Didn’t get it? Reload and try again.

How to get the Dragon Claw Horn?

Go to Tinkerton’s Dig Site. The landmark is the letter “S” on the Delesia region map. There, you’ll receive the quest “Dragon Claw Horn Production.” The conditions are much more modest:

  • 1 mercenary
  • 24 game hours
  • Camp weapon: 1,200
  • Camp stone: 1,000
  • Camp wood: 3,200
  • Camp food: 14,000
  • Camp supplies: 17,000 coins

You’ll get 3 horns in your personal warehouse. Important: to unlock these quests, you must first complete the “Efficient Gathering” research in Pororin Village. Without it, you can’t do anything.

Where to get stalactites?

Location of stalactites by coordinates

Stalactites are a mountain resource found in caves. The most convenient route is through a cave in the Hernanda highlands, south of the town of the same name. Descend along the southern cliff and look for sharpened stones. Mine them and get to work.

Where to get feathers?

It’s simple: kill birds, skin them, and get feathers. Birds are found in the wild. But if you don’t want to run around, build a farm in the camp on Wolf Hill, raise them, and butcher them. Alternatively, some merchants in Hernanda sell feathers as regular materials. More expensive, but faster.

Crafting and Using Narima’s Horn

Have you collected the components? Great. You’ll need:

  • Dragon Claw Horn x3
  • Stalactite x1
  • Feather x2

Find any witch in the game world. Select “Craft Abyssal Equipment,” scroll to the “Special Items” section, and you’ll find Narima’s Horn. Craft it.

Now, the most important thing: when your Black Star dragon is on cooldown, open your inventory and use the horn. The cooldown is reset—you can summon it again.

Yes, the horn is disposable. You need a new one every time. But if your camp is upgraded and quests are available, you can create an infinite number of them. And ride the dragon as much as you like. Almost.
