Pearl Abyss revealed what’s coming to Crimson Desert in spring 2026: replayable bosses, variable difficulty, and powerful moves for Damiana and Unca.
The developers at Crimson Desert (the guys behind the open-world action game) have released their roadmap for the second quarter. This spring, the game will receive more than just cosmetic tweaks, but truly profound changes—from three difficulty levels to the ability to replay boss fights and sieges. Heroes won’t be left out either: Damiana and Unca will finally receive skills that can compete with the top abilities of the current build.
But that’s far from all.

What’s coming to Crimson Desert from April to June
The developers (the team, incidentally, admitted they’ve been monitoring player screenshots—especially those featuring cats) focused on three things: the combat system, ease of control, and visuals. And yes, there will be a free soundtrack on Steam, too.
Replayable Boss Battles and Sieges
Now you don’t have to wait for the darkness to strike again—you can choose any boss at any time and test your skills. Sieges will also return: enemies will try to retake your outposts, and you’ll have to prove who’s boss.
Three difficulty modes
Easy for beginners, Hard for veterans. Standard will remain for those seeking balance. These aren’t just damage numbers; judging by the description, they represent a real change in tactics.
New Techniques for Damiana and Unca
Players have long complained about lacking skills on the level of “Palmara Strike” or “Axiom’s Power.” The developers have listened—both characters will receive comparably powerful skills. The exact details are still a secret, but they are highlighted in bold on the map.
Convenience and little details that change everything
The interface will be improved: a minimum font size setting will be added (the game is translated into 14 languages, so optimization is not easy), and the map and inventory will also be refined. Gamepad controls will be partially customizable, and the range of customizable keys will be expanded for keyboard and mouse.
Warehouses are now specialized
Separate for food (ingredients are added directly during cooking), separate for resources (stones, insects, minerals—they won’t all get lumped together), a separate wardrobe with five categories. And a collectible warehouse for quest items and recipes. A small thing, but a nice touch.
Pets and vehicle armor
New pets will be added, as well as armor not only for horses but also for other vehicles. However, the specific ones haven’t been specified yet.
Visuals and Soundtrack
Long-term plans will become more detailed—the developers warn that the patch will be heavy due to improved rendering. But the visuals promise to be vibrant. They’ve also added the option to hide weapons behind your back, so you can admire the scenery without obscuring it.
And a special bonus: free DLC with the soundtrack will be released on Steam, plus official tracks will be available on all major music platforms.
By the way, the developers themselves admit: “We look at every photo of your cute cats.” Such is the warm atmosphere.
All of the above-mentioned features are still in development, and names and details are subject to change. But the gist is clear: Crimson Desert will become deeper, more convenient, and more spectacular in the spring of 2026. If you’ve been following the project even a little, now’s the perfect time to return or take a closer look.
