The July Brawl Stars update is just around the corner, but data miners have once again outpaced Supercell. The final numbers for the major balance patch for July 2026 have leaked online. The developers have already reworked early test builds: some planned changes have been scrapped, but new, unexpected buffs and nerfs have arrived. These new adjustments could tear apart the familiar meta, and will hit recent newcomers the hardest – Starr Nova and Bolt have been hit hard.

New Brawl Stars buffs in the July patch

The leaked list of improvements looks significant. The developers have decided to boost the firepower of several forgotten characters and stagnant veterans.

  • Mandy: Attack damage increased from 2600 to 2960.
  • Thorn: Basic attack now deals 1120 damage, up from 980.
  • Starr Nova: Health increased from 7400 to 8000, and Super Sword healing increased from 324 to 432. Survivability is excellent.
  • Griffin: The cooldown of the “Soul of Coins” gadget (Buffie) has been significantly reduced from 20 to 15 seconds.
  • Crow: Damage increased to 840 (up from 640).
  • RT: This one saw a huge attack increase, going from 1480 to 2480.
  • Bolt: Ultimate damage increased from 1100 to 1400.

Interestingly, early rumors about buffs for Gale, Bibi, Dynamic, and Charlie were not confirmed. These changes simply weren’t included in the final build.

All character nerfs and nerfs

The balance pendulum has swung the other way, too. Some overpowered heroes have had their key stats nerfed, and some have received highly controversial hybrid changes.

How were Raven and Thorn nerfed?

Raven is going through a tough time. Yes, his base damage was increased, but the price was harsh. His health dropped from 6000 to 5600, his reload speed decreased by 14.28%, and his Toxic Venom now lasts only 3 seconds instead of 4. (By the way, rumors about increasing his attack range turned out to be fake—Supercell cancelled that idea.) As for Thorn, his fast charge cost was reduced by 15.09%.

A massive blow to Bolt

Bolt suffered the most, despite a targeted upgrade to his ultimate. The developers clearly wanted to knock him down a notch.

  • Maximum normal attack damage has been reduced from 1800 to 1520.
  • Fast charge time has been reduced by 10%.
  • The Crowd Control protection from the “Unstoppable Star Ball” passive now lasts only 1 second.
  • The additional 15% movement speed bonus provided by Star Power has been completely removed.

However, Nadjia fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The expected nerf to her ultimate’s damage has been removed from the final patch.

Change Analysis: How the Competitive Meta Will Change

It appears that a major shakeup is in store for the competitive balance of Brawl Stars in July 2026. Supercell is making targeted changes to the balance of power without drastically disrupting the core gameplay of characters—the focus is on fine-tuning gadgets, passives, and damage.

Raven is turning into a typical “glass cannon”: it will be harder to survive, but his bite will be more painful. The removal of the old feather spread debuff will definitely please the community. Starr Nova, thanks to her massive self-healing and generous HP pool, will remain a top hero, and Bolt, despite losing some mobility, will remain playable thanks to his buffed ultimate. Spike, with his increased damage, will become an even more terrifying close-range spammer. If the leak is 100% confirmed, we can expect a surprisingly healthy and diverse meta.
