The World of Tanks has launched the best PvE mode called “Rift”, with the mechanics of popular MOBA games.
Rift mode in World of Tanks: defend the portal, defeat Ratte and get a premium tank
Players will need to defend their base by fending off waves of advancing enemies that move along three classic lines. To get to the main goal, the Portal, you need to destroy enemy towers and maintain a balance between attack and defense.
Four combat vehicles have the properties to participate, each with its own style and role on the battlefield.
-
Uragan is a master of long—range strikes;
-
An immortal is a warrior who can both hold a blow and strike back.;
-
The actor is unstoppable in head—on collisions;
-
The basilisk is fast and cunning, preferring dynamics and maneuver.
The teleport system adds depth to the gameplay: It will give you the parameters to change the line, strengthening the desired flank or saving the base from an enemy breakthrough.

“Rift” is based on a step—by-step increase in difficulty – each new stage opens only after defeating the previous one. The finale promises an epic battle with the giant boss Ratte, where clear team coordination is essential.
For completing the mode, players earn a special currency that can be exchanged for rare and valuable items. Special attention should be paid to the fact that artillery stunning is disabled in this event, and the matchmaking system works according to the changed rules.
The “Rift” mode has been added to the game from October 22 to November 5. Each participant will receive exclusive rewards — original camouflage, rare insignia, premium days and personal reserves available exclusively within the event. The main prize is a premium heavy assault tank of the VIII level with a double—barreled gun STT-617Q.
Affected changes: The World of Tanks and the World of Ships came under the control of the Federal Property Management Agency, as well as two development companies, Lesta Games Moscow and Lesta Games Energy, which officially became part of the Federal Agency for State Property Management on June 11, 2025.
