Avid (real name — Arvid Åberg) is a young Swedish player who in a short time turned from an ordinary enthusiast into a prominent figure on the Counter-Strike 2 scene. His journey is a story about perseverance, self—belief and a love of the game that never lets go for a minute. During his career, he managed to participate in about 64 tournaments and play over 200 matches, gradually proving that hard work and passion for CS bear fruit. Today, he has more than $7,000 in prize money on his account, and a dozen medals of various denominations in his collection. A particularly striking page in his biography was his victory at the Esportal LuckyCasino Cup 2023 as part of the ALL (Alliance). It was then that Avid's name was first heard loudly. Now he is still playing for Alliance, a team where his talent has truly been revealed.

The path from the first steps to the professional stage

Avid took its first step into professional esports on October 4, 2022. Then he played for the small team gubb (gubbgibb) at the ESEA Open Season 42 tournament. The result was modest — fifth place and $175 in prizes. But it was at that moment that he realized he wanted more. Later, there were performances for PepsiMix, where Avid gained experience and understood how real team CS works. These early stages became a school for him, a place where he learned to lose without despair and win without euphoria.

The teams that formed Avid

In two years of active playing, he managed to work his way through seven bands, from modest mixes to serious organizations. Among them were gubb, PepsiMix, ZURIA, KST, 416O, and finally ALL, where Avid found its place. Since joining the Alliance, he has become not just a part of the team, but one of the key players. His calmness under pressure, confident shooting and the ability to read the opponent helped the team achieve its first serious successes. Today, Avid is a reliable pillar of its team. He does not rush into the embrasure thoughtlessly, but is always ready to take the initiative when the team needs him the most.

Tournaments, emotions, and growth

The last few months have been a real test of his strength. Together with Alliance, he participated in Svenska CS-Ligan 2025, A1 Gaming League Season 10, PGL Bucharest 2025 and other major tournaments. Not all of them brought victory, but each match brought experience, confidence and understanding — he was moving in the right direction. In the list of his recent achievements:
  • ECL Season 50 — $1,000 prize money;
  • EPIC.LAN 45 — $100;
  • Glitched Masters 2025 — $132;
  • EPL Season 22 — $200.
There's more to the numbers than just statistics. These are hours of training, sleepless nights, defeats that make you want to turn off the monitor, and new victories that bring back the taste of the game.

A player who goes his own way

Avid is not a typical "star" player. He doesn't look for big headlines, doesn't flaunt his achievements, and doesn't live in the past. His approach is simple: every match is a new opportunity to become better than yesterday. Those who have played with him note his concentration and calmness even in the most nervous situations. He's the kind of guy who doesn't scream after a headshot, just does his job and moves on. Today, Avid has firmly established itself among young and promising Swedish CS2 players, and his story is inspiring, because it proves that the path to success begins with one step and a real desire to win.
