Richard Seidy Yoshita, better known by the nickname chayJESUS, is one of those players who lives by esports. Originally from Brazil, he managed to turn his passion for Counter-Strike into a professional career, becoming a prominent figure on the CS2 scene. In a few years, he went from local tournaments to participating in major international competitions and managed to earn more than $30,000 in prize money. But something else is much more important — his confident game, leadership character and constant desire for development. Today, chayJESUS defends the colors of Imperial Esports (IMP), one of the strongest organizations in South America. He is recognized by his aggressive but measured style: he is not afraid to go first, takes responsibility and often becomes the one who turns the tide of the match. The players mark him as a person with whom it is pleasant to be in a team — disciplined, calm and at the same time charged with victory.

How it all started

The history of chayJESUS began in 2020. Then he entered the professional scene for the first time, representing the NO ORG team at the Aorus League 2020 Season 1 tournament. It was not a high—profile debut - the team did not reach the prizes. But it was this tournament that became the starting point. He quickly attracted the attention of scouts, and soon found himself at BlackDragons e-Sports, where he performed at CBCS Elite League Season 1, taking 9th place. The result may have been modest, but for a beginner it was an important step forward. Since then, Richard's career has developed rapidly. Over the following years, he changed eight teams, including Sharks Esports, Santos e-Sports, Fluxo and the current Imperial Esports. In total, he has played more than 330 matches, dozens of tournaments and hundreds of hours of training. The highlight of his career remains his time at Sharks Esports, where he scored his first major wins and earned a significant portion of his prize money.

Victories, medals and achievements

The list of achievements of chayJESUS is impressive: He participated in about 80 tournaments, winning 13 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals. These numbers speak to consistency and stability, rare qualities for players in the young CS2 scene. Among his recent successes are:
  • winning the FiReLEAGUE Buenos Aires 2025,
  • Triumph in CCT Season 2 South American Series #7,
  • participation in top tournaments, including BLAST Open Spring 2025 and CCT Season 2 Global Finals.
Every performance shows that chayJESUS is not just a shooter, but a player with a clear understanding of team dynamics. He knows how to read opponents, adjust to the opponent's style and act as effectively as possible in clutches.

Teams and the path to success

The path of chayJESUS is a story of constant growth. He advocated for:
  • Red Canids (RedC) — a series of impressive matches in CXSA S1 and FERJEE Rush 2025;
  • FX and TDT, where he honed his individual skill and understanding of the game;
  • FLA, in which he spent a short but memorable period;
  • and finally, Imperial Esports (IMP), where it is now firmly entrenched in the main roster.
Each transition opened up new horizons for him. He has adapted to different lineups, styles and metas, and it is this flexibility that has made him a versatile player capable of strengthening any team.

His style is confidence and risk.

Looking at the game of chayJESUS, you can see that he always plays with character. He is not afraid to take risks, takes the initiative and at the same time does not lose his cool at critical moments. There is a sense of experience in his actions, whether it's a sharp push to an A—site or calmly holding a position when the score is hanging by a thread. His aggressive manner is combined with analytical thinking. He often reads the map better than most, understanding where to be careful and where to put pressure. This makes him not just a shooter, but a player who builds victory step by step, creating space for his team.
