The hacker group CyberLeek, which yesterday unleashed a deluge of GTA 6 gameplay footage, has made a new statement. They now claim to have not just fragments, but a complete build of the game—and are ready to release the ending of Lucia’s storyline.
A published screenshot from the Dread platform features a file with the telling title “Lucia Ending.” The leakers have issued Rockstar an ultimatum: apologize and meet three demands, or the spoilers will spread like wildfire. The demands include ending digital pre-orders, banning “fake” single-player DLC, and guaranteeing offline access to the game in the event the servers are ever taken down. It sounds like a manifesto, hinting at a deeper conflict: CyberLeek isn’t just leaking for the sake of hype, but is trying to dictate new rules to the industry.
What have we already seen? Short videos show Jason driving, fights, basketball, and police chases. In one, the character exceeds fan expectations: he scores on his first try and gains a focus boost. Another shows him driving through Vice City at night, engaging in shootouts, and introducing a new mechanic: a “surrender” button in the interface. Perhaps GTA 6 will finally offer a peaceful way to escape “Busted.” The gameplay changes are obvious—and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
A map of the state of Leonidas, also leaked online, appears expansive: Vice City, Port Gellhorn, islands, airports, and several counties. Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive have already begun a campaign to remove the materials: they’re sending out DMCA notices, and the posts containing the videos are disappearing one after another. Many see this as indirect confirmation of their authenticity—if the videos were fake, it’s unlikely that lawyers would have scoured the internet so meticulously. GTA 6 is scheduled to officially debut on Netflix on August 27th—an industry first. The release is November 19th for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. These dates are closer than expected, but CyberLeek is already hinting at new leaks and warning that it may target other major publishers.
The community’s reaction is fierce. Some are calling on Rockstar to intervene immediately, while others are advising fans to avoid spoilers as much as possible. Still others point out that the internet is already rife with fake screenshots and edited images, so these bold claims should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism.
One can only wonder: is this a bluff or a real threat? If CyberLeek does indeed have a full build, we can expect more shocks before August 27th.
