There are four Scout Amulets available in PEAK. The most powerful artifact in the game is Scout’s Ambition, which grants infinite stamina to the entire team for 8 seconds. Next in effectiveness are Scout’s Generosity (duplicating valuable items), Scout’s Tenacity (invulnerability and debuff removal), and Scout’s Initiative (gliding while falling). The choice is determined by the current biome, playthrough mode, and Ascension difficulty level.

PEAK Amulet Stats Summary

Each artifact is collected from Scout statues under a blue beam of light, but their activation cost in Petrify varies greatly. The table below summarizes the full specifications for the current patch 2.01.a (The Final Ascent update, August 11, 2026).
1st place – Scout’s Ambition
Stamina drains instantly in the game, especially if you’re at Ascension 6 or higher. Scout’s Ambition rewrites these rules: consuming 30 Petrify removes the fatigue meter for 8 seconds. The effect affects all party members within a 9.6 meter radius.
Effectiveness on Ascension 6+ and in co-op
The artifact is good in solo play, but in a group of four, it becomes an ultimate weapon. By chaining activations (four players, three uses each), the party gains a minute and a half of continuous upward movement. This allows them to leapfrog through the most difficult vertical sections of the Kiln and Citadel, ignoring the basic resource economy.
Limitations and Petrify Cost
The high price is the main obstacle. 30 Petrify stacks per use require meticulous resource management. Activating the amulet without a clear plan will quickly leave the group empty-handed before the difficult climb.
2nd place – Scout’s Generosity
The second most important artifact is responsible for resource survival. Scout’s Generosity can duplicate absolutely any item in your inventory – from mundane food to mystical equipment like Scout Effigy.
Combination with Scout Effigy and Duplication
Co-op groups actively use the Generosity + Scout Effigy combination. By duplicating resurrection statues, the team builds up a safety net, although the cost of 45 Petrify per mystical item puts a strain on reserves. However, this is a standard survival mechanic in the later stages.
Solo vs. Co-op
Solo players value this artifact even more than Ambition. When there’s no teammate nearby to provide backup or share resources, the ability to dual-wield rare mountaineering gear becomes a key factor in success.
3rd Place – Scout’s Tenacity
Tenacity serves as a versatile first aid kit and shield. For 10-30 Petrify (the exact price depends on the number of negative statuses removed), the character clears all debuffs and gains 10 seconds of absolute immunity.
Comparison: Scout’s Tenacity vs. Ancient Idol vs. Fortified Milk
There are three ways to gain temporary immortality in PEAK, but they work differently.
Usage in weather biomes and when falling
Tenacity is indispensable in biomes with extreme conditions. In the heat of MESA, the cold of ALPINE, or the toxic fog of GLOOM, it resets accumulated effects, giving you a window of opportunity. The key is to activate the amulet a second before hitting the ground during a critical fall: 10 seconds of invulnerability completely negates fall damage.
4th place – Scout’s Initiative
The low price of 7.5 Petrify makes Initiative the most accessible artifact, but its functionality is simply too specific. When activated, the character reduces falling speed and gains a short horizontal movement boost (wind walk) for 3 seconds.
Gliding over chasms and avoiding obstacles in Gloom
The main benefit of Initiative is flying across wide ravines. In the GLOOM biome with its complex terrain, the artifact helps you vault over metal fences and deep chasms without wasting valuable handholds.
Why is it a “last chance” amulet?
The main problem with this artifact lies in its concept. To activate Initiative, you must have already fallen off a ledge or made a miscalculation in your trajectory. It doesn’t help you gain momentum or altitude, but rather serves as a cheap insurance policy.
How to choose an amulet: a situational checklist
-
Playing co-op on Ascension 6+? Take Scout’s Ambition—a chain of activations will mitigate increased stamina consumption.
-
Soloing and short on gear? Choose Scout’s Generosity—duplicate food, grappling hooks, and rescue hooks.
-
Assaulting MESA, ALPINE, or GLOOM? Equip Scout’s Tenacity—resetting weather statuses will save supplies.
-
Frequently making mistakes on difficult jumps? Get Scout’s Initiative—it’s a cheap way to smooth out your fall.
-
Going for the secret ending? Collect all four amulets in one run and carry them to the very top.
Amulets’ Connection to the Secret Ending (Rule Zero Badge)
To unlock the secret ending and claim the Rule Zero badge, players must collect all four Scout Amulets in a single run (one from each biome completed) and deliver them to the final destination. This forces the team to choose: spend Petrify on powerful buffs along the way or conserve the artifacts in their inventory to complete the secret ending.
