When a publisher shows up with a hands-on demo instead of another cinematic trailer, that says something about how confident it feels. Ubisoft has revealed its lineup for Gamescom 2026, and this time the focus is squarely on playable builds rather than another voiceover-heavy reveal.

The show runs in Cologne from August 26 to 30, and the French publisher has confirmed a list of ten projects attendees will be able to try out on the show floor.

Which Games Ubisoft Is Showing at Gamescom 2026

The final lineup includes:

  • Rainbow Six Siege — the long-running tactical shooter keeps earning a spot at major events;
  • Rayman Legends Retold — a reimagining of the classic platformer;
  • Anno 117: Pax Romana — the next entry in the city-builder series, this time set in ancient Rome;
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows — the already-released feudal Japan entry, still getting a promotional push;
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced — an updated version of the fan-favorite pirate installment;
  • The Division 2 and The Crew Motorfest — live-service titles that need to keep their audiences engaged;
  • Atomega, Morbid Metal, and For Honor — smaller-scale titles rounding out the genre mix.

It’s a deliberately varied selection: a hardcore shooter, a city-builder, a melee fighter, and a remaster of an old-school platformer all sitting side by side. It looks like Ubisoft is trying to cover several different audiences at once rather than putting all its weight behind a single flagship title.

Why Hands-On Time With Anno 117 and Black Flag Resynced Matters More Than Trailers

For players, this is mainly a chance to form their own opinion before launch instead of relying on marketing footage. Anno 117: Pax Romana has stayed fairly quiet so far, and a live demo at Gamescom could finally show how its province management actually plays, something that’s still largely unknown.

Black Flag Resynced is in a similar spot: reviving a beloved entry always risks falling short of nostalgia, and letting people try the gameplay firsthand takes some of that risk off the table early.

Ubisoft has also teased surprises during its Gamescom livestream on YouTube and Twitch, meaning some news will reach fans online even if they’re nowhere near Cologne.

Don’t expect full-blown new franchise reveals — the focus here is clearly on polishing and promoting projects that are already known. But for anyone following Anno 117 or on the fence about Black Flag Resynced, hands-on impressions from the show floor will likely matter far more than any press release, so it’s worth keeping an eye on streams and previews from the players who get to the demos first.
