Hot Wheels Infinite Rush developers Milestone and Mattel have released the second episode of the “Beyond the Track” video series. While the first video was more of a teaser, the second dives deeper into the system mechanics. The new trailer details the car classes, explains how “Rush Squads” work, and also offers a glimpse into how progression works in this arcade racing game.

The video showcases beautiful races, tying together gameplay elements into a cohesive structure. Team racing and tactical vehicle selection are key features. Cars are divided into four classes: Station Wagons (the sweet spot), Titans (heavy and powerful), Drifters (agile for cornering), and Speedsters (pure speed). Each class dictates its own driving style, and the player must assemble a “Rush Squad” of four cars—one from each class—and switch between them while exploring the world. The game features over 150 Hot Wheels models, so the selection will be impressive.

The classic Hot Wheels formula is becoming more tactical—and this is the main difference from previous games. The developers are focusing on making each car useful in different situations, not just being the fastest.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush: Release Date, Pre-Order, and Bonuses

One of the main intrigues is when the game will arrive on consoles and PC. The original announcement didn’t specify a precise date, but now it’s known. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will release on September 10, 2026—a day earlier than previously expected (the original date was September 24, but it was pushed back two weeks). It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).

Early Access and Pre-Order Bonuses

Early access players will be able to get started as early as September 7th, three days before the official launch. Pre-ordering any version will earn you an additional Boost ‘n’ Slide Pack. It includes two exclusive cars: the Driftsta and the Power Pipes. Each has its own unique characteristics to help you get started.

System Requirements (Approximate)

Approximate system requirements have already been released on Steam, although the developers may adjust them closer to release. Currently, they are as follows:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-12400
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Video Card: GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT

These figures are more of a guideline than a minimum requirement. These are quite high requirements for an arcade game—likely due to the free exploration of four dynamic islands with detailed scale models.

It’s also worth clarifying: the game fully supports cross-play between all platforms, and progress is synced via a Hot Wheels ID account—so you can start on PS5 and continue on Switch 2 without losing your progress.

Therefore, Milestone decided to go all out—Infinite Rush promises to be the fall’s premier arcade racing game, both in terms of gameplay and content. All that’s left is to wait until September.
