Konami has released the PC system requirements for Silent Hill: Townfall, and the numbers are noticeably higher than those of Silent Hill f, even though both games run on the same Unreal Engine 5.
With less than two months to go before launch, now’s a good time to see how your setup stacks up. The game is being developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn, formerly known as No Code, previously recognized more for intimate narrative-driven projects than technically demanding horror titles. That makes the jump in hardware requirements for Townfall all the more surprising.

The comparison with its predecessor is telling. Recommended RAM has doubled, from 16 GB to 32 GB, the GPU requirement has jumped up a tier, and the game takes up 25 GB more disk space. CPU requirements barely moved, but the leap in memory and video card demands is hard to miss.
On paper, Townfall’s numbers aren’t outright alarming — they’re roughly in line with other major UE5 releases of the past few years. Still, it’s notable that a studio not previously known for technical ambition has pushed requirements past those of its own franchise from just months earlier. It could come down to more elaborate lighting, denser environments, or simply building in headroom for future engine updates.
Anyone planning to pick up the game at launch should start thinking about an upgrade now — especially on the memory side if you’re still running the standard 16 GB. Owners of 2020–2021-era builds will likely have no trouble hitting the recommended profile. It’s also worth keeping an eye on the official release date and any post-launch performance patches — PC horror titles on UE5 have a habit of getting meaningful optimization updates after they ship.
