Tip: aim slightly above the enemy’s head, using the reticle mark (the third dot from the bottom—for ranges of ~200 meters). Many beginners stumble over this point and miss. But if you practice on single targets in Creative Mode, you’ll quickly get the hang of it.
Effective Long Range Combat Tactics
Your goal is to avoid being spotted prematurely. A sniper rifle is a first-shot weapon. The best position is high ground with a good view and the ability to quickly take cover after firing. After firing, reload immediately (2.55 seconds isn’t that long) and change position to avoid detection. If you miss, don’t panic—you still have a chance, but the enemy will already know where the shot came from.
