Guide to EU RMR CS2 PGL Copenhagen Major 2024
The distribution of slots for the first Counter-Strike 2 Major is starting today, and now we will simply observe who will earn the right to represent their region at this important tournament in Denmark.
Currently, Europe is undoubtedly the strongest region in CS2, but not everyone will be able to qualify for this Major, which will take place in mid-March. Here’s the schedule, format, and other information about the EU RMRs.

Europe RMR
In one of the largest regional qualifying tournaments in CS2 to date, 32 teams from Europe will compete for 18 slots at the PGL Copenhagen Major. These teams have earned their spots in the LAN portion either through invitations or by successfully navigating through closed qualifiers.
Below, you will find the complete list of teams for each RMR group:
Europe RMR A (From 14 to 17 February) | Europe RMR B (From 19 to 22 February) |
---|---|
FaZe Clan (Invite) | Team Vitality (Invite) |
Virtus.pro | MOUZ |
Natus Vincere | Team Spirit |
G2 Esports | Monte |
Eternal Fire | Cloud9 |
BetBoom Team | Astralis |
9Pandas | GamerLegion |
SAW | Guild Eagles |
KOI | ENCE |
Into The Breach | ECSTATIC |
Ninjas in Pyjamas | Pera Esports |
ENTERPRISE | OG |
Fnatic | Nexus Gaming |
Falcons | Heroic |
The teams will be divided into two groups of 16 teams each to compete in multiple rounds of BO1/BO3 matches using the Swiss system. Teams need to earn three victories to advance to the Major. If a team wins two matches before losing the third, they will proceed to the decider stage against three other teams with the same result from a different RMR stage. Elimination matches (teams with 0-2, 1-2 results) or qualifying matches (teams with 2-0, 2-1, 2-2 results) are played in a best-of-three format (three maps), while all other matches are best-of-one (one map).
If a team fails to accumulate the required number of victories and loses three matches, they will be eliminated from the qualification.
Once the teams qualify for the Major, they will be allocated to the stages of the main event (Elimination Stage and Opening Stage) based on Valve’s rankings in each region. The top seven teams after the draw will continue their journey in the Elimination stage, while the remaining ten teams will compete in the Opening Stage.
