Forza Horizon 6 is gradually revealing its ideas — and one of them immediately catches the eye. The developers decided to make tuned cars more accessible, and this directly affects how the game will feel.
Cheap tuning cars have appeared in Forza Horizon 6 – why do players need it?
Aftermarket Cars will appear in the game — tuned versions of cars with unique body kits and visual improvements. They can be found right in the open world or in festival races, and they look like ready-made projects, not just basic models.
The main difference is the price. These cars are noticeably cheaper than you would expect, and this is done on purpose. Design director Torben Ellert explained that in this way the game gently encourages experimentation: they say, try this car, take it for a ride — suddenly it will come to you.
The idea is simple, but it works. In games like this, it’s easy to “stick” to one car and ignore the rest. Here, the developers want the player to change their approach more often and discover new options for themselves.
The system is related to the exploration of the world. There is a “fog of war” in the game, which gradually dissipates as you explore the map of Japan. Additionally, a collection log has been added — it helps you keep track of where you’ve been and what you’ve discovered.
However, an important rule remains: if you find something, you can always come back to it. No pressure, just freedom and the opportunity to play at your own pace.
As a result, cheap tuning cars are not just a new category of cars, but part of the general philosophy of Forza Horizon 6. The game does not force, but carefully guides, giving more space for experimentation.
The release will take place on May 19 on Xbox Series X/S and PC, including Game Pass. The game features more than 550 cars and advanced customization, so there are definitely enough options for testing.
