The esports organization Runa Team has officially announced some changes to its Dota 2 roster. Maxim “Shigetsu” Popadynets, who played as the team’s carry, is set to leave the squad. This news was disclosed on the organization’s official Telegram channel, marking a significant shift for the team as they prepare for upcoming competitions. Fans are eager to see how this change will impact the team’s performance moving forward.

Runa Team is looking for a new carry in Dota 2 after Shigetsu’s departure

Representatives from Runa Team have recently indicated that they are still in the process of selecting a new carry player for their Dota 2 roster. As they prepare for their upcoming matches, the team plans to evaluate several candidates for the first position to find the right fit. In their recent clash against Zero Tenacity during the European Pro League Season 29, this crucial role was filled by stand-in Magomed “nesfeer” Kurbanov, who brought fresh energy to the lineup.

Shigetsu had been a key player for Runa Team since April 2025. During his time with the team, they achieved significant milestones, including reaching the finals of the European Pro League Season 26 and securing the championship title in CCT Season 2 Series 1. His experience and skills were instrumental in the team’s success. Prior to joining Runa Team, Shigetsu also showcased his talents with other organizations, including cybercats, PuckChamp, and Natus Vincere, where he gained valuable experience and recognition in the competitive scene.

Shigetsu is officially stepping down from our active roster, and we want to take a moment to express our gratitude. In the upcoming matches, we’ll be assessing new players for the first position, eager to see who will step up to the challenge. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, Max!

Runa Team.

Shigetsu joined our team shortly after its establishment in April 2025. Under his leadership, we reached new heights, culminating in a remarkable victory at the CCT Season 2 Series 1 tournament. His contributions have left a lasting impact, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
