The Serious Sam 2 shooter has marked an important date for their start since the big 20th anniversary update. The developers of Croteam have released a patch that has greatly changed the functionality of the game — now it is charming and much more modern. The update has improved graphics, redesigned gameplay, and added many fan-created elements that have finally become part of the official version. Thanks to HD visuals and a generous portion of content, the good old Serious Sam 2 feels cool again.

Since the creation of the new version, new community elements have been added — emoticons, background images for profiles, collectible cards and stylish frames for avatars.

The Renovation Mod, beloved by fans, has finally become part of the official version of the game. Players will enjoy a completely updated interface, improved graphics and a variety of visual upgrades that make the game even more attractive.

The developers have returned the original menu sounds — now the same classic soundtrack, familiar from childhood, plays again when navigating.

There is a new option in the “Settings” section — the “Advanced Settings” link, which opens up more possibilities for fine-tuning the game.

Animations were also not ignored: the transitions became softer, the movements became more realistic, and the effects became noticeably more detailed.

Videos can now be viewed in full-screen mode, and updated fonts provide better readability and correct display at all resolutions.
Serious Sam 2, created by Croatian studio Croteam and published by Gathering of Developers, was released on October 11, 2005. This shooter has received sufficient numbers of positive reviews for the dynamics, crowds of enemies and original locations. Players appreciated the large-scale battles and Sam’s trademark humor, although critics noted the repetitive levels and controversial elements in the third-person mode.
