The Indonesian legends from ONIC ID, apparently, have finally woken up and are close to the coveted playoffs at the Mobile Legends home World Championship: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship. The fifth day of the Swiss stage, let’s put it this way, turned into a real meat grinder — the teams literally fought for survival, because any mistake meant instant departure from the tournament.

ONIC ID returns the favorite status

Everyone expected that the first seed from Indonesia would dominate from the very first minutes, but the reality, to be honest, turned out to be much harsher. After the failures in the matches against Team Spirit and the daring guys from Yangon, the status of the favorite has been shaken, despite the fact that the organization previously flew into the top 4 at the 2025 offseason cup.

The restoration of reputation has begun.

The team simply left no stone unturned by the Singaporean EVIL cast — both cards were closed in 13 minutes. In the first set, the gold advantage exceeded 12,000 — a total rout, however. The second game, by the way, ended even more epicly: ONIC wiped the opponents off the map during the very first skirmish at the Lord. Now they are, in fact, only one step away from the main stage of the M7.

The collapse of Team Zone and Black Sentence Esports

Team Zone vs. CFU Gaming matchup

While some were celebrating, others were packing their bags — Team Zone, who made their way through the Wildcard, and the Latin Americans from Black Sentence Esports (BSE) officially left the race.

The drama was off the charts.

Malaysian CG Esports, representing the region, which, by the way, is preparing to switch to a franchise in 2026, narrowly defeated BSE in a tight series. After the first card, the LATAM champions were able to snap back and even the score — in the end, everything was decided in the difficult third match. In the decisive battle, almost the entire Black Sentence roster went to the tavern, which allowed the Malaysians to take the victory.

The Cambodians from CFU Gaming, in turn, did not allow the Mongolian team Zone team to create a miracle. If the first game went by one wicket (2-0 in total), then the second one made the fans nervous — the Mongols heroically beat off the second and third Lords, almost pulling off the “perfect comeback”. However, the fourth Lord, along the way, became the final point — the Zone base collapsed under the onslaught of the CFU.

Swiss Grid Final: Who will survive on the last day?

Everything will be decided tomorrow. With three slots in the playoffs and six contenders, the stakes are generally at the limit. Here is the schedule of the final battles:

  • Team Spirit vs CFU Gaming — a battle for survival.
  • Yangon Galacticos vs CG Esports — who will be stronger?
  • Falcons Middle East vs ONIC ID — the Indonesians must win.

You can follow this madness live on the MLBB Esports YouTube channel — to tell the truth, it’s a sin to miss it.
