BNK FEARX win in four games and keep their LCK season alive
BNK FEARX kept its LCK season alive with a 3-1 victory over Nongshim RedForce. The result ended Nongshim’s run and moved FEARX into the next play-in match.
The teams had traded results during the regular season, but the best-of-five elimination series created a different test. One defeat now removed a team from the competition.
FEARX responded after the teams split their earlier meetings
Nongshim had won a recent regular-season series 2-1, while FEARX had also beaten the same opponent earlier in the year. Neither result guaranteed the play-in outcome. The four-game series rewarded the team that adapted more effectively after the opening draft. FEARX found three wins before Nongshim could force a deciding fifth game.
That final 3-1 score is different from the previous regular-season meetings. Mixing those scores would create a false account of the elimination match.
Control of major map targets reduced the need for desperate fights
A team with lane pressure can reach dragons, towers and vision areas first. FEARX used those windows to choose where the next contest would happen. Nongshim still had chances to trade an objective on the opposite side. The problem came when a delayed response left the team without the objective and without a safe counterplay.
FEARX did not need to chase every kill. Converting map control into structures and neutral rewards gave each successful game a clearer finish.

FEARX found enough engage, damage and lane stability across three different wins. Nongshim could not create a fourth draft that extended the series.

Nongshim’s season ended at the play-in stage
The elimination format leaves no lower bracket after this loss.
Nongshim cannot move into the playoffs through another match. The team can still review the series for roster and coaching decisions, but those choices belong to the next competitive period.
The outcome is final: FEARX advanced and Nongshim were eliminated from the 2026 LCK play-in.
FEARX now faces a separate qualification test
The victory creates another match rather than a playoff place by itself. FEARX must prepare for the remaining play-in route and a new opponent. Its strongest lessons come from the cleanest objective setups and the drafts that remained useful after the lane phase. The lost game also shows where an opponent can interrupt that plan.
The 3-1 result gives FEARX momentum, but the next score begins at zero. Qualification will depend on the next complete series.

That adjustment reduced the number of easy openings available to Nongshim. The next three games required repeated objective control rather than one decisive trick. BNK FEARX arrived earlier around the river, cleared useful vision and forced Nongshim to enter through narrow routes. Those small advantages made the later fights easier to organise.
Winning 3-1 keeps BNK FEARX in the LCK season and ends Nongshim’s run. The series also gives the winners a clear review list. Their first-game problems still matter, because the next opponent will study the same openings.
