The Story of Trundle
Ask around the Freljord about Trundle and the answer usually involves someone who wandered too close to his territory and did not walk away in one piece. The Freljord itself is a harsh, frozen expanse of warring tribes and old ice magic, but even its warring tribes give Trundle’s ground a wide berth.
He is a hulking troll with a genuinely vicious streak, convinced there is nothing in this world — the Freljord itself included — that cannot be beaten into submission with enough force. Anyone foolish enough to cross into his claimed ground gets chased down without exception, and once his club of True Ice is in hand, he freezes his prey solid before finishing them off with jagged pillars of ice, laughing while they bleed out across the frozen ground.
As a Fighter and Tank who holds the Top lane on Mana, his abilities all reinforce that same possessiveness over territory:
- Chomp bites an opponent for damage while slowing them and stripping some of their Attack Damage.
- Frozen Domain turns a patch of ground into his own, granting Attack Speed, Move Speed, and stronger healing for as long as he stands on it.
- Pillar of Ice raises impassable terrain at a chosen spot, slowing every enemy near it and blocking off escape routes.
- Subjugate, his ultimate, immediately steals a share of a target’s Health, Armor, and Magic Resist, then doubles that theft over the following seconds.
King’s Tribute, his passive, rounds out the picture: any enemy unit that dies near him heals him for a portion of its maximum Health, meaning the longer a fight lingers on his ground, the stronger he gets. Neighbors like Braum and Brand, or Anivia and Ashe, who share the same tundra, share his frozen homeland, but few of them would willingly fight him on turf he’s already claimed as his own.
