The Story of Orianna
Not every citizen of Piltover walks on legs of flesh. Orianna was once an ordinary girl, curious and lively, until an accident in Zaun’s lower districts left her gravely ill. Piece by piece, her failing body was replaced with clockwork craftsmanship, until nothing organic remained. What could have been a tragedy became instead a kind of freedom: unbound by fatigue or fragility, she now moves through Piltover, the shining city built on invention, trade, and restless hextech ambition, seeking out its wonders and whatever lies beyond its gates.
A Companion in Brass
She did not make this journey alone. Orianna built a floating brass sphere for herself, part companion and part guardian, and the two now act as a single unit in and out of combat. As a mage who can also fill a support role, she draws on mana to keep the Ball constantly in motion: Command: Attack sends it firing toward a location, damaging every target along its path before settling where it lands, with weaker hits against anything beyond the first target struck. Command: Protect attaches the Ball to an ally instead, shielding them and damaging any enemies it clips on the way over. Command: Dissonance releases a pulse of magic damage around the Ball and leaves behind a field that speeds up allies and slows enemies who linger in it. Wherever the Ball goes, so goes her ability to fight.
How She Fights
Her passive, Clockwork Windup, adds extra magic damage to her attacks that grows the longer she keeps striking a single target, rewarding patient, sustained pressure rather than short bursts. Command: Shockwave, her ultimate, calls the Ball to unleash a shockwave that damages and, after a brief delay, launches nearby enemies toward it — a way of gathering a scattered fight into one place. That precision matches her nature: a mage built for controlling space rather than overwhelming it outright. She counts engineers and inventors like Heimerdinger and Jayce among Piltover’s other notable minds, though her own path — assembled rather than born — remains hers alone.
