The Story of Locke
Corvin Locke didn’t choose exorcism as a calling so much as inherit it. Raised among Demacian occultists steeped in secrecy and self-justification, he grew up watching adults lie about the darkness they claimed to be fighting on everyone else’s behalf. Even after leaving that household behind, the habit of watching for hidden rot never left him. That upbringing left him with an uncomfortable conclusion: demons don’t create the worst parts of people, they only ever respond to what’s already there.
Locke’s answer to that realization is blunt and repeated: expose the rot underneath, soul by soul, until the world becomes a little more honest for it, whether it wants to be or not. He carries out that mission with a set of tools built for confrontation rather than subtlety.
- Silver Stake — his attacks bite harder against enemies already close to death, rewarding relentless pressure over patience.
- Ritual Nails — thrown Soul Nails mark targets that Locke can later consume for bonus damage.
- Soul Ignition — a self-punishing burst of Attack Speed and Move Speed that costs him health up front and pays some of it back over time.
- Ashen Pursuit — a teleport folded into a dash, letting him close distance before anyone can brace for it.
- Purgatory — a binding artifact that can execute weakened enemies outright and grows stronger for every champion it seals away.
He belongs to no single nation now, wandering Runeterra at large rather than the kingdom that raised him and lied to him in the same breath. Other wanderers answer to just as little, from Aatrox to Bard, each cut loose from any throne’s authority. For Locke, that distance is the entire point — the further he gets from Demacia’s version of the truth, the clearer his own forbidden rites become to him. It is a lonely way to live, but Locke seems to have made peace with the trade.
