A secret blade, the Starlight Sword, has been added to Crimson Desert. Spoiler alert: it’s not easy to obtain, and it’s only suitable for one character. Let’s find out if it’s worth the effort.
Update 1.04.00 brought this mystical scimitar to the game. It hides a vast array of quests—without it, you’ll never get the sword. The quest begins at the Scholastone Institute in Hernand: you’ll need to find and study 13 constellations. Yes, thirteen. Only then will you obtain the coveted blade.
Important note: the Starlight Sword is designed exclusively for Damiana. Cliff and Unca won’t even be able to wield it. So if you’re leveling up another character, feel free to skip it.

How to get the Starlight Sword? (step-by-step)
It all starts with the factions in Hernand. Complete their quests until you receive the “Star Notes” quest chain from the Scholastone Institute. This unlocks the event.

What’s next?
-
Receive the “Constellation Helmet”—you must equip it to see all 13 constellations on the map.

-
After observing each constellation, the Institute’s tenth secret quest, “The Map of the Night Revealed,” is activated.
-
Only after you complete all 13 observations in this quest will you receive the “Starlight Sword.”
Getting the sword is easy—at least compared to the previous stages. Go to the Chijeong Temple Pagoda, which is located south of Demeniss (Snake Marsh). Approach the stone pillar—a hidden scene will trigger, and afterward, the blade will automatically drop into your inventory.

Is it worth it? Stats and Verdict
Here are the bare numbers (and a couple of intriguing bonuses):
When fully upgraded, the sword provides 27 attack and Attack Speed Lv. 6 (if the “Attack Speed 3” bonus is equipped).
Now, to the point.
Cons:
-
Only for Damiana. For other heroes, it’s useless junk.
-
The quest chain is a real hassle. Thirteen constellations, map searches, constant character switching.
Pros:
-
The Abyssal Equipment “Stamina Absorption Lv. 2” is an item with this mechanic, unprecedented in the game.
-
High attack speed (level 6 when sharpened) can be useful in certain builds.
However, we don’t recommend farming this sword unless you absolutely need it. Its stats are, unfortunately, average. Even with excellent attack speed, the blade isn’t a legendary worth breaking the game for. But if you’re a perfectionist or a collector, why not? At least the constellation ritual is beautiful.
