The Wrixel skin in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is perhaps the most unique in the Battle Pass. Visually, it looks like it came straight from the cover of an indie hit about cubic worlds: blocks, pixels, and over a million possible combinations. What Is Wrixel and How to Get It

Wrixel is an epic skin from the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass, part of the Build‑A‑Ville set. Unlike most cosmetic items, it is not instantly unlocked upon purchasing the pass. To obtain the base Wrixel skin, you need to:

• Purchase the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass
• Reach level 10 in the Battle Pass
• Redeem all rewards on the Wrixel homepage

After this, the “Build‑A‑Wrixel” tab will appear in the quest menu. This is where all the quests for additional styles are located. Without the base skin, map parts don’t count — this is an important detail that many people stumble over.

Wrixel has 15 additional styles in addition to the base one. The methods for unlocking them are divided into three categories: leveling up in the Battle Pass, collecting map parts, and completing quests with codes.

Parts for the four styles are scattered across four POIs on the map. You can collect them in any order. Progress is saved between matches — if you are killed, the parts you’ve collected are not lost.

Drift — Green Hill Zone

All four Drift parts are located in Green Hill Zone, a green, hilly area with winding paths:

• Legs — at the top of the central hill, in a chest
• Accessory — by the waterfall, next to a fallen log
• Hat — at the intersection of green looping paths (according to other sources, near the ramp on the north side of the POI; both landmarks lead to the same zone)
• Torso — under a cliff ledge directly below the extraction site

Luxe — Cluster Coast

Cluster Coast — a coastal area with a large yellow hotel and the famous duck ship:

• Accessory — on the top deck of the yellow duck ship, near the bar
• Torso — in a wooden sauna by the pool
• Legs — inside the pool area, behind a glass wall (according to other sources, near the south side of the POI)
• Hat — on the first floor of the main building, in the kitchen or back terrace

Ruby — The Battlewoods

The Battlewoods is a forested area with a canal in the middle. Ruby pieces are located on both sides of the canal:

• Torso — southern side of the POI, under the bridge near the bench
• Legs — southeastern side, near a tree
• Hat — inside a small building near the Slurp Truck in the northeastern part of the POI (other sources say it’s on the west side of the river)
• Accessory — under the stairs near the canal on the eastern side

Skull Ranger — Mega Maze

Mega Maze — a maze of hedges and brick walls. The walls can shift as you progress — if the path becomes blocked, check the exclamation point on the map.

• Accessory — northeastern corner of the maze, near a palm tree
• Hat — closer to the center of the maze
• Torso — along the wall in the western section
• Legs — in the southern section, along the outer corridor

A Visual Guide: What All the Wrixel Styles Look Like

Visually, each Wrixel style is a nod to iconic Fortnite characters, reimagined with a cube-like aesthetic.

Drift features a hooded mask and a blue-purple palette, like the original Drift from Season 5. Luxe features gold and luxury, the recognizable image of the Queen of Points of Interest. Ruby is bright red and aggressive, with a distinctive hairstyle. Skull Ranger features a skull and dark tones, a classic from Season 1.

The other styles are equally recognizable: Peely is banana-colored, Meowscles is feline-colored, Fishstick is fish-colored, and Cuddle Team Leader features a bear head. Each style offers more than just a color scheme, but a complete set of blocks: face, hairstyle, accessories, and torso, which can be mixed and matched.

Optimal Collection Route: How to Get All Parts in 3 Matches

To avoid running around the map eight times, here’s a route that completes all four partial styles in three matches:

Match #1 — Cluster Coast (Luxe):

All four Luxe parts are within a 100-meter radius. The best entry point is the yellow duck ship. Grab the Accessory on the upper deck, jump down to the sauna by the pool (Torso), then inside the pool room behind the glass (Legs), and finish in the main building (Hat). The entire collection takes 3–4 minutes.

Match #2 — The Battlewoods (Ruby) + Green Hill Zone (Drift):

These two locations are fairly close. Start in The Battlewoods: four Ruby parts along the canal — Torso in the south under the bridge, Legs southeast by the tree, Hat in the building near the Slurp Truck in the northeast, Accessory under the stairs in the east. After collecting them, head to Green Hill Zone for the Drift: Legs on the hill, Accessory by the waterfall, Hat on the hinges (or by the ramp), Torso under the cliff.

Match #3 — Mega Maze (Skull Ranger):

The maze takes longer to complete due to the moving walls. Start in the northeast corner (Accessory), then the center (Hat), the western section (Torso), and the southern section (Legs). Follow the map markers to avoid getting lost.

Difficulty Rating: Which Wrixel Style to Start With

If you’ve just gotten your Wrixel and aren’t sure where to start, here’s the order from easiest to hardest:

1. Luxe (Cluster Coast) — the most compact sections, all within a single POI. Minimum running, maximum results.
2. Ruby (The Battlewoods) — sections along the canal, clearly visible. The difficulty lies in player activity, as the POI is popular.
3. Drift (Green Hill Zone) — the parts are spread out a bit more widely, but still within the same location.
4. Skull Ranger (Mega Maze) — a maze with moving walls. Requires attention and time. I recommend beginners start with other styles to get the hang of it.

Among the non-partial styles, Lynx, Aerial Assault, and Ghoul Trooper are the easiest to unlock — just find the code on the map and enter it. The longest is Ziggy: 9 story quests.

What to Do If Wrixel Parts Aren’t Appearing

The most common reason is that you don’t yet have the base Wrixel skin. Parts on the map won’t count until you’ve reached Battle Pass level 10 and purchased the first Wrixel page.

Other known issues:

• Cuddle Team Leader not opening — Epic Games has confirmed a bug with the “Enter a Lobby Hack into the Admin Panel” quest. Stay tuned on the official FortniteStatus Twitter account for updates.
• Ziggy not opening — also a confirmed bug. The developers are investigating.
• Parts not counting after collecting — check if the quest is active in the Build‑A‑Wrixel menu. If the quest isn’t tracking, parts may not be counting. Also, make sure you’re playing standard Battle Royale, not Creative mode.
