Diablo Immortal has opened registration for the next Cross-Server Bout of Realms. Teams can register from 27 to 30 August before preliminary matches begin on 31 August.
The content update also adds the Seething Polestar legendary gem, new cosmetics, class balance changes and a schedule of returning activities.

Teams leave the preliminary stage after three losses
The first phase uses Swiss-system pairings and a points structure. A team that reaches three losses leaves the competition instead of playing every remaining preliminary match. Teams that remain carry their points into the second phase. This format reduces meaningless games for groups that can no longer reach the later rounds.
The change does not make one early loss fatal. It creates a clear limit while giving a team time to recover before the third defeat.
Teams can earn rewards before reaching the finals
A team that reaches the second preliminary phase earns a selectable set item with at least the stated 3+2 quality.
The reward adds a target below full finals qualification. Champions can also submit a custom server-wide announcement. Blizzard will review the message before it is shown, so the winning team cannot publish unrestricted text automatically.
These rewards support participation without changing the match rules. Tower Wars remains the map used for the tournament.
The schedule separates registration, preliminaries and finals
Registration runs from 27 to 30 August. The preliminary stage follows from 31 August to 4 September. Finals are scheduled for 7 to 11 September. The third-place match follows on 12 September and the championship match on 13 September.
Registration is the only stage currently open. Preliminary matches begin on 31 August, and the champion will be decided on 13 September.

A new two-star gem joins broader class changes
Seething Polestar is the new two-star legendary gem in the update.
Players should read the live item description before changing a build because rank and resonance affect its final value. The patch also adjusts several classes and game systems. A tournament composition that worked in the previous Bout of Realms may therefore need different damage, control or support choices.
Cosmetics do not add combat power. They should be separated from the gem and class balance notes when the update is explained.
Returning events have separate dates
Seeker’s United runs from 26 August to 23 September and connects several returning activities. Winds of Fortune is scheduled for 3 to 10 September. During Winds of Fortune, an activated 24-hour buff doubles selected rewards within published limits. Battle Pass rewards are not doubled, and not every item becomes tradable.
The update therefore contains several calendars. Players should check the local server time for each event rather than assume that tournament registration controls every other activity.
Teams need points immediately in the shorter preliminary stage
A reduced preliminary stage leaves less time to recover from an early loss. Teams should enter with confirmed roles, tested builds and a clear plan for each battleground. Using the first match only to experiment can create a points deficit that is difficult to remove. Cross-server competition also makes scouting less certain. A familiar name may use a different roster or strategy in the new event. Teams can prepare general responses, but they still need to read the opponent during the opening minutes.
The knockout stage changes the risk again. One series can end the run, so consistency becomes more valuable than a rare surprise. Players should check the official event screen for registration, match windows and eligibility rules in their region.
