But don’t get too excited: this is most likely an old build. According to insiders, the recording was made on a version from late 2024 or early 2025. The main clue is the radio. The video features a track released in January 2025, meaning the build is definitely no later than that date. This means the leaked version isn’t the final version, and many mechanics are subject to change.

Rockstar always carefully selects its soundtrack to match the game’s chronology, and if the track was released in January 2025, the build can’t possibly be newer. This indirectly confirms that hackers from CyberLeek, who are rumored to have accessed the full version, are threatening to leak the ending. But for now, all we have is this footage—and it looks like signs of life for a long-discussed project, not a final product.
Incidentally, rumors of access to the full build surfaced last week. Back then, leaks were expected to mount—and now, this latest fragment confirms those words. The vast amount of data surfacing online makes one wonder: Rockstar has either lost control of internal security or this is part of a clever marketing ploy. The official GTA 6 gameplay reveal will take place next week—August 27, 2026—and will air on Netflix. Yes, the streaming platform has apparently secured exclusive rights. The worldwide release is scheduled for November of this year. In the lead-up to this event, leaks are only fueling interest, but Rockstar is remaining silent for now.
