A modder nicknamed knoxien has released a new Random Events modification for the PC version of the cult Western, Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s now available for download on Nexus Mods. This new add-on is designed to entertain fans bored while they wait for GTA 6, and to completely overhaul the random activity system, making exploration of Rockstar Games’ open world as unpredictable as possible.

What new random events are in Red Dead Redemption 2?
The author has completely reworked his earlier concept from 2023. This time, the number of dynamic scenarios has increased from three to five—all seamlessly woven into the game’s original ecosystem, bringing new flavor to Arthur Morgan’s adventures.
What exactly awaits gamers in the Wild West:
-
Wildlife ambushes. Predators attack suddenly, forcing players to reach for their revolvers.
-
Runaway stagecoaches. A driverless carriage hurtles down the road—whether to save its passengers or ignore them is up to you.
-
Executions right in the middle of the street. Public reprisals that can (and should) be intervened in time.
-
Nighttime brawls. Groups of drunken cowboys brawl on the outskirts of towns under the cover of darkness.
-
The hunt for the protagonist. Professional bloodhounds and dogs are on Arthur Morgan’s trail, turning an ordinary trip into a survival adventure.
Flexible customization of random activities in Random Events
Each incident is triggered automatically during cavalry rides across the map. The screen displays a sound signal and a marker, and then the custom configuration menu takes over. The player can set spawn timings, the minimum distance to the trigger, and even disable the types of skirmishes they don’t like. A great reason to return to the game.
