Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has only just launched, but players will not be left with its initial selection of maps and weapons for long. The tactical shooter will receive three major updates before the end of 2026, expanding its aircraft, arsenal, ground vehicles, and battlefields.
Expression Games revealed the first post-launch roadmap roughly one week after the game’s release. It covers Updates 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0, although exact release dates for the final two have not yet been announced. The studio will also continue fixing bugs and improving performance and stability across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Update 1.5 Will Add the Huey, M14, and Type 56 SKS
The first major content update is scheduled for September 2026. US Forces will receive the M14 rifle, while the North Vietnamese Army will add the Chinese Type 56 SKS to its arsenal. Both weapons have been frequently requested by players since launch.
The headline addition is the officially licensed Bell UH-1 Iroquois, better known as the Huey. It will be more than a new model for an existing vehicle: the helicopter will introduce a radio system featuring music from the Vietnam War era. The co-pilot will control the radio, while the music will be audible both inside the aircraft and to nearby soldiers on the battlefield.
Radios aboard multiple Hueys will be synchronized, allowing a formation of helicopters to fly over the map while playing the same track. Players will be able to disable the music completely, which should be particularly useful for streamers and video creators concerned about copyright claims.
Khe Sanh and Rung Sat Will Expand Ground Warfare
Update 2.0 will introduce the Khe Sanh map and bring ANZAC troops into the conflict. Their arrival will be accompanied by the L1A1 SLR rifle, F1 submachine gun, and L16A1 mortar. This means the update will expand both the available equipment and the composition of the Allied forces.
Update 3.0 will take players to Rung Sat, a new battlefield defined by swamps and dense jungle. Both factions will receive armored personnel carriers, providing infantry squads with more options for moving across the map and supporting coordinated ground assaults. The arsenal will also grow with the MAT-49, SVD Dragunov, Stoner 63, and a scoped version of the M14.
Deluxe Edition owners will receive additional uniforms for ANZAC troops, Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and North Vietnamese Army soldiers.
The roadmap also includes Battalions V1, a system designed for clans and organized communities. It will allow players to create persistent groups, track shared statistics and progression, unlock rewards, and join servers together.
For players, the roadmap suggests that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will become considerably more varied on the ground and in the air before the end of the year. The key question is whether Expression Games can maintain this update schedule while resolving the technical issues behind the game’s current mixed Steam reviews. September’s Update 1.5 will be the first real test of how quickly and effectively the studio can support the shooter after launch.
