There are patches that fix bugs and move icons. And there are those after which the game feels a little different. Update 1.05.00 for Crimson Desert is clearly from the second category. Pearl Abyss rolled it out immediately on PC and consoles, and the list of changes turned out to be so long that patch notes are more convenient to read with tea.
Three main areas: combat system, territorial control, and creature collection. Let’s take it in order.
Table of Contents
Rematch mode in Crimson Desert: how to fight any boss again
Do you remember that boss you passed on the third attempt and still aren’t sure if you’ve improved or just got lucky? Now you can check it out.
Rematch mode allows you to return to any defeated boss at any time. There is no repeat of the plot — it is enough to light a lantern at the site of the old fight and activate the Memory Fragment. The fragments are displayed on both the world map and the minimap, so you don’t have to search blindly.
There are two formats:
-
Reminisce — the fight remains exactly the same as it was at the first meeting. Nostalgia in its purest form.
-
Resonate — if you have upgraded since then, the boss will raise the stats to your level. For those who need a real challenge, not a beating.
The starting roster consists of 69 bosses, Pearl Abyss promises to replenish the list. And an important detail: all consumables spent in Rematch are returned after the battle. Train as much as you want — the equipment will not suffer.
Re-Blockade in Crimson Desert: Territory capture and how to set it up
If Rematch is about the past, then Re-Blockade is about what’s happening right now while you’re distracted by crafting.
The essence of the system: enemy factions periodically retake forts and mines. The world ceases to be static — after some time, the cleared location becomes someone else’s territory again. It will add life to someone, and headaches to others.

Therefore, Pearl Abyss immediately integrated the controller into the gameplay settings:
-
Stable — there are no intrusions at all. The world stands still.
-
Conflict (default) — captures happen from time to time.
-
War — the enemies are not asleep, the front is constantly changing.
The system includes 13 factions and 23 points on the map. The developers have already announced an expansion: more factions, more aggressive enemies during the Re-Blockade and refinement of the general mechanics of the liberation of territories.
Legendary pets of Crimson Desert: Iron Eagle and Hyacinth Macaw in patch 1.05.00
The patch has added two new legendary creatures — and it’s hard to imagine a more dissimilar pair.
Iron Eagle is a mechanical eagle. Literally a robot bird that looks like it accidentally flew into a Marvel from some other genre. It appears under certain conditions and immediately becomes the most unusual pet in the collection.
Hyacinth Macaw is a vibrant tropical parrot that requires a little patience. You need to get to a point east of the Red River, install a Sotdae of Bonde feeder and lay out eight Desert melons. Then you just wait for the bird to eat and the confidence scale grows. No fighting, just pure meditation.
But there is a nuance that should be known in advance: players have fixed a bug in which Hyacinth Macaw stops appearing if Iron Eagle is already caught. Take the parrot first, then the eagle. Not the other way around.
Abyss Gear and Graphics improvements: technical changes to the Crimson Desert patch
The Embed Abyss Gear and Create Socket functions are finally working with locked items. It sounds like a small thing, but for players who are closely involved in optimizing the build, it was a real pain. Now you can embed gear and create sockets without removing the protection from valuables manually every time.
On the technical side: RTX 50 Series owners on PC received Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation support via NVIDIA Streamline SDK 2.11.1. On PS5 and Xbox Series, the Sharpness Enhancement option appeared in the video settings. It’s not a revolution, but it feels good.
Crimson Desert is developing exactly the way you want to see it after its release — Pearl Abyss hears the community and covers up real pain, rather than just adding content for show. Patch 1.05.00 confirms this.
