Blood of Dawnwalker will finally get a release date – the “Road to Launch” show will take place on April 28th at 12:00 PM (noon) in New York City.
Rebel Wolves isn’t holding back on announcements. On April 28th, the studio will host a 45-minute “Road to Launch” presentation – and it looks like they’ll dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s there. The stream will be available on YouTube in 4K with subtitles and on Twitch. The main reason to tune in is the reveal of the coveted Blood of Dawnwalker release date. But that’s not all.

What will be shown at the Blood of Dawnwalker show?
The promised list looks impressive. In addition to the release date, viewers will be treated to:
-
New open-world gameplay – no staged cuts, just live action;
-
A story trailer – finally, more details about the family and the vampire curse;
-
System requirements – no more guessing on PC forums;
-
Developers discuss the narrative and open-world design;
-
Team insights, musical themes, and other things that are currently being kept under wraps.
The event is clearly designed to excite the audience before the finish line. Incidentally, the game itself was first shown in January 2025 with a cinematic trailer. Then came a twenty-minute gameplay clip – and that’s when many started talking about “The Witcher with parkour.” The similarities to CD Projekt RED’s iconic series are no coincidence: Blood of Dawnwalker is being developed by veterans of the third Witcher.

What is known about the game so far?
Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG. Set in 14th-century Europe, the protagonist is a Dawnwalker, balancing between the daytime life of a human and the nocturnal nature of a vampire. One thing during the day, another at night: abilities, playstyle, even the available investigations change depending on the time of day. The developers have implemented a “timing” system: each accepted quest advances time, so your choices truly matter. The world is promised to be densely populated and diverse: forests, plains, swamps, mountains, and medieval settlements.
Rebel Wolves’ directors have repeatedly emphasized that the focus is on quality, not quantity. This isn’t a hundred-million-dollar open world with a ton of similar activities, but rather a dense, well-developed adventure with an emphasis on story and the consequences of decisions.
What can we expect from the date announcement?
Considering the show’s title, “Road to Launch,” it’s logical to assume the release is just around the corner. An optimistic scenario would be the end of 2026, a realistic one would be the first half of 2027. In any case, the wait isn’t long. We can only hope the team maintains the high standards set by The Witcher 3 and doesn’t disappoint dark fantasy fans. Everything will become clearer on April 28th.
