Ubisoft is finally ready to officially unveil one of the most anticipated projects of recent years—a remake of the fourth “pirate” Assassin’s Creed game. According to recent reports, the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is scheduled for April 16th. This information was shared by ResetERA user BlackBate—and it’s clearly not another fake.

Insider Tom Henderson has repeatedly hinted at mid-April as a key announcement date. In his podcasts on Insider Gaming, he regularly returned to the “second half of April,” so it all fits. Tellingly, this date has indeed been looming for several weeks.

When is the release expected? It’s still an open question.

Documentation obtained by insiders points to the second quarter of fiscal year 2027—that is, the period from June to August. Some sources suggest July. But caution is advised: Ubisoft has a long history of delaying and even canceling releases at the last minute. So July is more of a benchmark than a firm promise.

Why is this important? Black Flag Resynced isn’t just a fan remake. For the French publisher, it’s one of the major releases of the financial year. The project, by all appearances, is poised to be a turning point, especially against the backdrop of the controversial launches of recent years.

Coincidence? Probably not. The date was chosen for a reason: mid-April, a straightforward announcement, with minimal unnecessary talk. All that’s left is to wait until next week.
