It looks like Ubisoft won’t be dragging it out. Judging by the latest leaks, the presentation of the long-awaited Black Flag remake will take place on April 16th. And that’s coming soon.
Insider NateTheHate2 confirmed the information: journalists will see the project in the coming days. However, the public announcement is subject to change. It could break on Tuesday, or it could happen a little later—within a couple of days.
Why is Ubisoft in such a hurry? There’s logic to it.
Early rumors point to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced releasing this summer. If so, the publisher needs a short but powerful marketing campaign. No protracted three-year waits. Companies are increasingly adopting this approach: announce and—bam—the game is on shelves in a couple of months. Black Flag Resynced, it seems, will follow a similar path.
But the most interesting thing isn’t the dates. Yesterday’s leak struck a chord with fans: this isn’t a remaster. It’s not just a texture refresh and a HUD tweak. It’s a full-fledged remake. With new content. Fresh mechanics. And perhaps even surprises no one expected.
For those who remember Edward Kenway and his naval adventures, this is practically a celebration. The original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was released in 2013 and is still considered one of the most vibrant, free, and simply hilarious installments in the series. Pirate romance, naval battles, chansons and shanti music—it all struck a chord with millions back then.
What might the remake add?
-
New islands to explore
-
Additional story arcs
-
Modern graphics and water physics
-
Possibly co-op raids
In short, Black Flag Resynced isn’t just “the same thing, but better.” This is a chance to return to a world fans adored and experience it anew. All that’s left is April 16th. Ubisoft, don’t let us down.
