A really major Flashpoint update has been released for the Arc Raiders shooter — Embark Studios made an update on March 31, 2026. The developers did not limit themselves to balance edits: the game features a flying killer robot, a new arsenal, and extremely interesting mechanics for leveling up your mechanical companion. This is a major step for a project that is still in early access.

The Flying Menace and the new “Close Attention” mode in Arc Raiders

Arc Raiders drone enemy

The main nightmare for the raiders will now be the Vaporizer, an autonomous drone that burns out all life with a laser beam. You can meet him in the most unexpected places. By the way, “Shredders” have also ceased to be a local problem and are now a nightmare for players on all available maps without exception.

So that life doesn’t seem like honey, Embark Studios has added a mission condition called “Close Scrutiny.” This is a tough challenge: the players are pitted against waves of elite opponents and high—level targets – only the most exhausted units will survive.

Energy shotguns and simplified crafting: what has changed in gameplay

Arc Raiders weapons gameplay

The arsenal has been replenished with two extremely interesting items — the Dolabra energy shotgun and the Canto rapid-fire submachine gun. Both guns are sharpened for a fast-paced battle. Apparently, the meta will swing significantly towards energetic damage in the near future.

It’s nice that the developers heard the fans moaning about the interface.:

  • Crafting without unnecessary movements: now the missing resources can be purchased directly in the item creation menu.
  • Navigation: you no longer need to jump between sections — everything is collected in one window.
  • Save time: farming now takes less effort (and nerves).

How to properly “feed” Scrappy: new pet mechanics

The most unusual feature of Flashpoint is associated with a pet robot named Scrappy. He used to be just a cute companion, but now he’s a full-fledged tool for targeted loot. The system works simply: you give Scrappy certain items (literally feed him with them), and in return he begins to bring exactly the resources that you need for crafting.

In addition, Arc Raiders has brought a pack of fresh quests and a stylish Wasp Hunter cosmetic kit. It can be seen that Embark Studios is working closely with feedback — the game is getting cleaner and more convenient with each patch.

Do you want to test the Dolabra in action? The update is already available for download.
