Ubisoft hasn’t been slow to release content for its city-building strategy game. A DLC called Prophecies of Ash will be added to the game as early as the end of April—on the 23rd. The announcement was made on April 9th during a special stream dedicated to the Anno 117: Pax Romana series.
And this isn’t just another set of buildings. The developers have prepared something massive—the island of Cynis in the Latium region. According to them, it will be the largest ever in the franchise’s history. But there’s no time to relax: the land is volcanic, and your settlement will go through four eruption phases. First, you build, develop, and then nature reminds you who’s boss.
What else will Prophecies of Ash bring:

Obsidian—a new resource that will be integrated into production chains;

Vulcan, the god of blacksmiths—an alternative patron for islands (an interesting choice, by the way);

Cecilia—a new merchant with her own offerings.
This is just the first of three major expansions in 2026. The season pass will also include The Hippodrome and Dawn of the Delta, which are expected in August and November, respectively. So strategy fans have something to put aside other games for.
