Hot Wheels Infinite Rush has entered early access on Xbox Series consoles and Xbox on PC. The game places more than 150 vehicles across four open islands filled with races, activities, collectibles and rival crews. Players build a Rush Squad with one vehicle from each class and can switch between them while exploring. A track builder attaches new routes to the existing landscape, while split-screen and online modes extend play beyond the single-player campaign.

Four vehicle classes make switching meaningful

Versatile cars handle mixed tasks, Titans emphasize power, Drifters suit technical corners and Speeders reward clear high-speed routes. A Rush Squad carries one of each, so changing vehicle is part of navigation rather than a garage interruption. The best choice is the one that fits the next activity. Keeping the fastest car active everywhere can make rough terrain or narrow challenges harder than they need to be.

Open islands replace a strict event ladder

Players can leave a planned race, follow a hidden path or discover an activity while travelling to another goal. That freedom works when landmarks remain clear. Learn the main roads and one route back to the island hub before chasing every collectible. A map full of icons is easier to manage when each session has a small target, such as finding a rival crew or completing one class of activity.

System Confirmed scope
World Four freely explored islands
Garage More than 150 vehicles
Classes Versatile, Titan, Drifter and Speeder
Local play Split-screen for up to four players
Online Multiplayer with cross-play on supported platforms

Rush Masters give each island a final test

Progress through events eventually unlocks a challenge against the island’s Rush Master. Defeating that opponent awards a vehicle and moves the campaign toward its overall title. The encounter should be treated as a summary of the island’s skills, not a simple speed check. If an earlier event exposed weak drifting or poor route reading, another attempt there may be more useful than buying a faster-looking car.

Collection grows through play rather than one shop

Vehicles come from races, activities, rival crews, discoveries and the Secret Dealership. This spreads rewards across the world and gives different players a reason to explore. A large garage still needs organization. Mark a small group for each class and compare how they behave on the same short route. Statistics provide a starting point, but steering response and size can decide which model feels dependable.

The track builder uses the surrounding landscape

Adaptive ground snapping helps track pieces connect to terrain, buildings and elevated spaces. AI action markers tell computer-controlled drivers how to approach special sections. Builders should begin with a complete, driveable loop before adding jumps and decoration. Test every class at normal speed. A route that works only with one light vehicle may be an intentional challenge, but that restriction should be clear to anyone loading the creation.

Customization separates style from performance

Sticker and livery editors let players change the appearance of a vehicle without confusing decoration with a mechanical upgrade. A readable design can also help identify squad members during split-screen or online races. Keep important edges and wheels visible so the car’s position remains easy to judge. Extremely busy patterns may look strong in the editor while becoming unclear at full speed.

Local and online modes need different preparation

Four-player split-screen places several views on one display, making simple tracks and distinct colors useful. Online play adds network conditions, unknown opponents and cross-play. Test a private session before opening a complex custom route to the public. Confirm that checkpoints register for every driver and that a recovery does not place one class at an unfair angle. Good testing protects the pace of the final race.

Early access should be judged as an evolving release

The current package already contains a campaign, building tools and multiplayer, but balance and technical behavior can still change. Players should report the island, vehicle, mode and exact action when a problem appears. A short reproducible description helps more than a general complaint about handling. The most important early question is whether exploration, switching and building connect smoothly enough to support the large vehicle collection.
