Dovetail Games has confirmed that Train Sim World 7 will launch on September 15. The railway simulator is planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The new edition includes fresh routes and locomotives. Its announced network includes the Airedale and Wharfedale lines around Leeds, Bradford, Skipton and Ilkley.

The Yorkshire network connects several passenger services

The Airedale and Wharfedale network links large urban stations with smaller towns and commuter stops. Players will need to manage frequent services while following signals and station timing. Leeds and Bradford create busy starting points. Routes then move through the Yorkshire landscape toward Skipton and Ilkley.

Different stopping patterns change the driving rhythm. A local service demands repeated braking and accurate platform stops, while a longer run places more emphasis on speed control between stations.

The connected layout also gives players several possible sessions inside one regional network. A route can feel different when driven in the opposite direction or at a busier time.

The simulator remains focused on current PC and console hardware

Train Sim World 7 is listed for Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox on PC. The console versions support PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Older console generations are not part of the announced platform list. Limiting the release to newer hardware can support larger routes, denser traffic and more detailed environments.

The exact performance still depends on the final build and platform. A confirmed platform list only shows where the product will be sold. Players with an existing collection will also look for information about compatible routes. Dovetail provides separate guidance for ownership and edition choices.

Each edition contains a different route collection

Dovetail has announced Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions. Each version contains a different amount of route and locomotive content. The Standard edition provides the central Train Sim World 7 package.

Deluxe and Ultimate options are aimed at players who want a larger library from the start.

A ten per cent pre-order or loyalty discount is available on selected stores. Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox list the reduction, while PlayStation offers it through PlayStation Plus. Each edition contains a different package. Existing owners can compare their route library with the content included in Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions.

Timetables turn the same route into many separate tasks

A railway simulator gains variety from traffic and scheduling, not only from the length of the track. Weather, departure time and the train assigned to a service can change the same journey. Busy junctions require attention to signals and speed restrictions. A delay at one station may reduce the margin available at the next stop.

Players can also choose a shorter service when they do not have time for a full end-to-end run. A network with branching destinations supports that flexibility. The Yorkshire lines are therefore more than one continuous corridor. Their service patterns create a set of related driving jobs inside the same geographic area.

The developer confirms the release date and supported platforms

September 15 is now the confirmed launch date. The announcement changes Train Sim World 7 from a general future project into a release with a fixed preparation window. Dovetail can use the remaining weeks to publish detailed route, locomotive and compatibility information. Players can compare those facts before selecting an edition.

The game arrives during the current console generation and continues the annual development of the series. Its success will depend on route quality, reliable signalling and stable performance across long sessions. The Gamescom trailer establishes the date and the main direction. New regional networks provide the visible content, while the timetable system will determine how much variety they offer after launch.
