The Temple of Zoom Season Challenge in Forza Horizon 6 forces players to venture to the farthest reaches of the map to photograph a 1980s Ford at the Nati Falls Temple. The task is simple, but finding this landmark without a hint is nearly impossible. We’ll explain where to look and which cars are suitable.

Exact location of the Nati Falls Temple on the map

The temple is hidden on the western edge of the game world, in a mountain range where a river traces a picturesque curve. On the map, you’ll notice several dotted dirt roads leading to a winding road that forms a loop. The temple stands in the center of this loop, with a waterfall roaring nearby. Finding it is truly an adventure if you’re not used to driving in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, the developers at Playground Games have left a loophole: any open road is highlighted in white (unopened roads are dark gray). Hover your cursor over a nearby spot and press X—the game will instantly teleport you there. It’s a huge time saver, you’ll agree.

List of compatible 1980s Ford cars

Once you arrive, press up on the gamepad’s D-pad to enter photo mode. Just remember to switch to a 1980s Ford. Here’s a full list of compatible models:

  • Ford F-150 XLT Lariat (1986)
  • Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Forza Edition (1986)
  • Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (1987)
  • Ford RS200 Evolution (1985)

How to retrieve the secret car at Nachi Falls?

By the way, while you’re busy taking photos, a pleasant surprise awaits you nearby. On the dirt road north of the temple, right next to the waterfall, lies a 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 GSR. This secret treasure car isn’t one of your standard “Warehouse Finds”—it’s easy to miss if you don’t know where it is. So, make a detour and grab it while you’re here.

Finding the Hidden Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 GSR

The search for the secret Japanese muscle car will lead you right to the base of the thundering waterfall. The secret 1995 Lancer Evolution 3 GSR is parked in a low spot right next to the water, making it virtually impossible to spot from the main paved road. To pick up this rarity, you’ll have to detour off the main route: aim for the local temple, turn your back on it, and take a right along an inconspicuous dirt road heading north. The vast majority of gamers fly past this location at full speed for a nice shot for the photo challenge, missing the iconic sedan.

Reason for Lancer Evolution 3 absence on the map

An important clarification: this is far from the standard “Warehouse Find” everyone is accustomed to. Unlike classic abandoned garages, this Evo 3 isn’t listed in the official list of collectible cars and isn’t highlighted by icons as you explore the game world. The designers simply left the car by the river as a physical object requiring manual interaction. This is where the main pitfall for inattentive players lies:

  • Fast travel issue: if you take a photo of the temple and immediately teleport out of the location, the game won’t count the find.
  • No repeated notifications: There will be no second chances or reminders from the system.
  • Lost time: You’ll have to return to the waterfall to get your forgotten car on foot (or rather, on four wheels) across the entire map.

Passing Temple of Zoom challenge in one run

A life hack for those who value their time: collect the Japanese legend only before completing the main photo challenge. Since you’ll still be driving an authentic 1980s Ford to take the photo at the temple, you can shorten the logistics. First, drive down to the waterfall in the Ford, transfer to the open Evo 3 to activate it permanently, and then return to the first car and calmly complete the quest with a photo. This simple sequence of actions saves precious minutes and prevents unnecessary trips back.

After a successful photo, the Temple of Zoom challenge in the Summer Series menu (under the “Summer” tab) will be completed. The reward is 5,000 credits and one season point, which will get you closer to the main prizes.
