Tencent Games has released a massive update plan for PUBG Mobile for the summer. Players are waiting for the return of the M416 Glacier skin, rumors of a crossover with Naruto, and a ton of new roulette games. The calendar is packed to the brim: from the comeback of the “Sea Odyssey” mode in patch 4.5 to the new Golden Costumes. What Patch 4.5 will bring to PUBG Mobile: the return of modes and Mechadragon
The main hit of update 4.5 is the comeback of the “Sea Odyssey” mode. The location with underwater ruins was well established by the community back in the days of version 3.3, so the developers decided to return the proven format. In just three weeks, dinosaurs will fly into the rotation. This time, a collection card system was attached to the prehistoric event to make farming more interesting.
The guns are fine too. The Vector “Mechadragon” submachine gun lit up in premium cases (the design is frankly cyberpunk, robot fans will come in). At the same time, we brought useful gameplay features. A team Alert has appeared — now it has become much easier to throw important pings to allies in the heat of a firefight. And for roulette lovers, the Double Lucky Treasure mechanics have been introduced. Draining donations is now a little less painful, because the system guarantees receiving a prize after a certain number of spins.
M416 “Glacier” and religion: scandals around loot
The most important attraction for shooter veterans. The legendary M416 Glacier assault rifle is available again, but time is running out. The banner only hangs until June 1st. You can get it out in Lucky Spin for about 750 coins. On Korean servers, the cannon is already falling out of the cases, however, so far without a beautiful swipe animation. We do not recommend ignoring the barrel (it leaves the store for many months).
There was some drama this month, too. The developers have urgently removed the new collector’s card “Hand of the Almighty” from the game. The reason is trivial — there were reports about insulting religious feelings. The reaction was immediate, so the controversial artifact lived in the game for at most a couple of days.
PUBG Mobile Collaborations: Naruto, KIA and the Golden Spartan
Insiders are teasing a possible crossover with Naruto. Considering the past large-scale anime events in the game, it sounds quite plausible. If the deal works out, we’ll get one of the most hyped events of the year. Meanwhile, in the Korean version (which traditionally serves as a testing ground), KIA brand cars are already being driven and the classic “Old Case” with retro loot from the first seasons is being opened.
Fans of the luxurious visual have prepared a Golden “Bloody Spartan” costume. The pre-order is already hanging. The Spartan’s Golden Roulette itself started on 05.27, but if you don’t have time to knock out a set, don’t panic. The second wave is scheduled for exactly 26.06. By the way, the clothes drawn by the players themselves will be delivered to the store soon (the results of the community competition have already been summed up).
