Tournament operator PGL decided not to be petty and organized a list of 12 teams that received direct invitations to the upcoming Wallachia Season 7.

The Dota 2 event will take place in Romania — from March 7 to March 15, the teams will share an impressive prize pool of $ 1,000,000. By the way, if you convert it to pounds, that’s about 729,710. It’s interesting, really. In addition to the invited stars, four more teams will make their way to the main stage through regional qualifiers in America, Europe, Asia and China. By the way, such tags as GamerLegion, HEROIC, Vici Gaming and Team Nemesis will compete for vouchers.

In fact, the lineup looks extremely powerful for the start of the 2026 season. By the way, the guys from MOUZ are coming to the tournament as the current kings of PGL Wallachia — their last victory over Team Spirit in five maps was simply incredible.

Among those who received the invitation are the winners of The International 2025 — Team Falcons, as well as BLAST Slam V champions from Tundra Esports. The latter, in fact, clearly want to consolidate their success after getting into the top 6 at DreamLeague Season 27. The Yandex team, which, by the way, won gold at the same DreamLeague, will also come to Bucharest for another trophy — they have a serious attitude, that’s a fact.

Analysis of favorites: Who is competing for the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Championship?

Tournament operator PGL, apparently, decided to arrange a real dota celebration in Bucharest — the start is scheduled for March 5, 2026, and there is a round 1,000,000 dollars at stake.

PGL Wallachia Season 7 Invited Teams

The list of guest stars is already awe inspiring: There’s a BetBoom Team, and Team Falcons, as well as Aurora Gaming along with Team Liquid. By the way, the good old Natus Vincere, OG and PARIVISION are also in business, as are Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, MOUZ, Team Yandex and the Chinese titans from Xtreme Gaming. By the way, four more vacant places will be filled through a sieve of qualifications, which will only add to the intrigue.

Top favorites by team form

If we evaluate the current conditions, Tundra Esports looks pretty damn dangerous right now — the guys are phenomenally fast at reading patches, which we saw at the same DreamLeague or BLAST Slam, where they consistently fly into the top 3.

Team Yandex is also not far behind, demonstrating some kind of extreme Dota 2 analytics in recent matches. In truth, the GPM and XPM numbers of performers like Watson or CHIRA JUNIOR just make competitors nervous, because the team’s macro game is polished to perfection. Team Spirit and BetBoom Team should not be written off — these teams, apparently, know the secret of winning the grand finals, and their experience can be a decisive factor, especially in clashes with representatives of the Asian region.

Team Recent Form (Tournaments) Key Strengths Top-3 Odds (%)
Tundra Esports DreamLeague S25, BLAST Slam II Patch adaptation, strong late game 25%
Team Yandex Matches vs Virtus.pro and others High GPM/XPM, strong drafting 18%
Team Spirit Clavision, Elite League Finals experience, aggressive playstyle 22%
BetBoom Team PGL qualifiers, regional events Macro play, BO3 consistency 20%

Chances of winning: analytics and risks

Tundra is perhaps at the top of my list due to the perfect balance — their tier-1 form is confirmed by victories over Falcons and Spirit, although recent updates to the game can generally confuse all the maps, as has happened before.

Team Yandex is claiming the trophy thanks to the latest statistics: they are now the first in terms of the ratio of murders to deaths, however, the matches against VP revealed certain holes in their mid-game. In general, the total chances of the playoffs for the trio of Tundra, Yandex and Spirit are about 65%, according to current Dota 2 analytics, but the teams from the qualifications are like Virtus.pro or the Nigma Galaxy is quite capable of creating a sensation.

In the European qualifiers, by the way, a notable fight is planned between Virtus.pro and NoLogoJustMMR, and in Asia, Vici Gaming and REKONIX are fighting for tickets — the winners of these pairs will clearly not become whipping boys and will seriously strengthen the pool of favorites. Let’s see who gets the million in the end.

All in all, this championship is just part of PGL’s huge strategy to take over the Dota 2 ecosystem. Back in April 2025, the organizers apparently decided to play it long and announced 11 major events for the period from 2026 to 2028.
