Riot Games decided not to be petty, and after the recent 2XKO console launch, they made a monstrous plan for the whole of 2026. The competitive ecosystem, dubbed the 2XKO Competitive Series, includes five status “Majors” and a dozen and a half lower—ranked Challenger tournaments. By the way, Riot does not do all this good alone, but in close conjunction with the community organizers, which is the most logical and correct move for the FGC scene.

Structure and format of the 2XKO Competitive Series 2026

Major Events for 2XKO in 2026

Interestingly, the publisher has revised its December strategy along the way. If earlier they wanted to link events to game seasons and planned five stages, now there are only three left — it’s more flexible, according to the corporation itself.

Frosty Faustings Tournament schedule and prize pool

The start of the season is a real mess in a good way. It all starts with Frosty Faustings XVIII in Illinois, USA, where 962 participants will gather from January 29 to February 1. The prize money, by the way, is quite substantial — 50,000 dollars (approximately 36,973 pounds), which will be divided among the top 24 players.

Dates and stages of the EVO 2026 series

Then the legendary EVO series takes over the baton — and here the schedule is tight, to be honest. First, the troops will land in Japan from May 1-3, followed by the iconic EVO Vegas at the end of June, and the EVO France European cycle will close in mid-October.

The final chord of 2026 will be played in Brazil — the Battle Coliseum tournament in Sao Paulo will be held from November 20 to 22.

Registration and geography of the Challenger Series tournaments

But the Majors are just the tip of the iceberg. The Challenger series starts at Genesis X3 in San Jose, and in March the fighters will move to Texas Showdown — in fact, the geography covers the whole world. Tournaments will be held in Austria, Australia, France, Great Britain, Canada and even in Puerto Rico.

A total of 15 such events are planned. At the moment, Riot has officially confirmed 11 of them — the other four, apparently, will be announced a little later. Registration for some sites is already open, so you definitely shouldn’t delay.
