The upcoming Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 Boston Major will feature a new big player — BLAST has officially rolled out an announcement of a partnership with Meet Boston, which looks very logical for the industry. The tournament will be the first serious test of the season, so the stakes are really high.

Details of BLAST and Meet Boston partnership in esports

The deal, in fact, implies a powerful advertising presence of the Meet Boston brand at all stages of the event — from branding of on-air screensavers to physical sponsorship areas right in the arena where fans will gather. It is worth considering that Meet Boston is not just a signboard, but the main marketing service that carries tourism and business conferences in the city.

Interestingly, this is not the first time for the guys to enter esports. To tell the truth, in 2025 they already shone at the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational — they have experience, and this is encouraging.

James Woollard, vice president of BLAST, emphasized: the partnership will help show Boston to the whole planet – it will really create long—term benefits for the local economy, which is extremely important now.

RLCS Boston Major 2026 format and participating teams

The event will take place from February 19 to 22, 2026 — Agganis Arena, which is located directly on the campus of Boston University, has been chosen as the venue. There will be 16 top teams selected through a sieve of Boston Major Opens, including, of course, Karmine Corp, who have already managed to pick up the RLCS Kick-Off Weekend.

Parsing numbers and meanings:

  • The prize pool: there is $354,000 at stake, which is an impressive amount.
  • Rating: up to 30 RLCS Circuit points are awarded for the first place — in fact, this is a direct ticket to the World Cup.

Status: this is the first major of the season — apparently, this is where we will see who is really ready to dominate the Rocket League this year.

Martha J. Sheridan, who heads Meet Boston, also does not hide her delight — cooperation with BLAST will again give the city greater coverage and, frankly, will provide hotels with tourists. In general, everything is very meaningful: esports is rocking the real sector of the economy again.
