On the horizon of 2026, KRAFTON has released a large—scale plan for the PUBG esports discipline, promising us even more drive, an ice rink and, importantly, inflated prize money for the masters of the “royal battle”.

To be honest, the schedule looks tight — the marathon starts with the March PUBG Global Series (PGS) and logically finishes in December at the grandiose PUBG Global Championship (PGC). To tell the truth, fans will definitely not be bored this season, judging by the announced event roster.

Schedule and format of the PUBG Global Series 2026

ROAD TO PGS 2026

In each episode of the PUBG Global Series (PGS), 24 teams will enter the arena — this includes 12 global partners and the same number of teams that have made their way through regional sieves. By the way, the first phase of the tournament is left to the regions, but in the second part the leaders of the initial stages will join them.

Three full-fledged PGS series will last for three weeks — seven days each — and here the fun begins, because the points will roam from week to week right up to the final battles.

First, all roasters will start with a clean slate. In the second week, the heat will begin — participants will be distributed according to the rating of past matches, giving outsiders a chance to return to the top. In the third week, in fact, the decisive final will unfold, where we will find out the name of the victor among the highest-scoring teams.

Distribution of the PGS prize pool and the stages of the series

The prize money for PGS 2026, by the way, was fixed at around 2000000 dollars — this is the total jackpot for all four stages of the series. By the way, money will also be distributed for weekly successes — 100,000 dollars each in the first two episodes, and 300,000 dollars will be played in the final batch.

Team Support, Fan Experience and More

The PUBG Global Championship (PGC) is, in fact, the main goal of any pro, the very event where the 32 top teams of the year will compete for the crown.

Eight tickets will be taken by the leaders in PGS Point points. The remaining 24 slots, along the way, will be obtained based on the results of the regional qualifying rounds.

The competitions themselves will be based on multi—level seeding – it is logical that the guys with the best stats will get an advantage at the start. As a result, only 16 squads will make it to the Grand Finals to find out who will take the 2026 title.

Let’s see who will survive in the end.

Support from Krafton partners and awards for fans

Krafton decided to go beyond just the match grid, seriously shaking up the entire ecosystem of esports PUBG for 2026.

In truth, partner teams will hit a real jackpot this season — they will receive additional support exceeding 1,000,000 dollars per year. In addition, the publisher has revised the budgets of the regional cups — now the total prize money there is fixed at $ 130,000.

Krafton itself openly declares: such a flood of money is not at all a one—time action for show. The company, in fact, is building a long-term plan so that the “battle royale” scene does not just survive, but steadily dominates the industry for many years.

Of course, they haven’t forgotten about the fans either — a pack of new chips is being prepared for them to make watching the rink even more exciting. The legendary Pick’em Challenge, by the way, will receive an update — players will once again be able to loot in-game buns for accurate predictions of the winners. In addition, Krafton is launching a full-fledged esports fantasy league and a special esports pass, a top opportunity to unlock rare rewards just by following the tournament.

All these activities, in short, turn ordinary stream viewing into an interactive show where each viewer has his own interest, but the developers have reserved the most “delicious” for the technical part of the broadcasts.
