About Team Aze
Team Aze was a Mexican League of Legends organisation that competed within the Latin American competitive scene under the tag AZE. Representing Mexico in a region governed by the Liga Latinoamérica, the top-tier circuit for Latin America, the team took part in an ecosystem defined by passionate fan bases and a strong sense of national rivalry. It has since disbanded, closing its chapter in the region’s history.
Mexican Roots in a Latin American Scene
Mexico has long been one of the most important contributors to Latin American League of Legends, supplying both players and dedicated audiences to the wider region. Team Aze emerged from this environment, carrying a Mexican identity into competition against organisations drawn from across Central and South America. Its presence added to the country’s representation in a scene where national pride is a powerful motivator.
The LLA Landscape
The Liga Latinoamérica, commonly known as the LLA, unifies the region under a single premier league and serves as the gateway to international tournaments for Latin American teams. Competition there is fierce, blending established powerhouses with challengers seeking to break through. For an organisation like Team Aze, operating within this landscape meant contending with well-supported rivals and striving to earn a foothold in one of esports’ most enthusiastic regional communities.
The LLA’s structure connects domestic ambition with the global stage, offering its top sides the chance to represent Latin America abroad. Teams competing in and around this circuit contribute to the depth of the region and to the development of local talent, even when they do not reach the summit.
Legacy
Team Aze is no longer active, its run within Mexican and Latin American League of Legends now concluded. As a former organisation, it forms part of the broader tapestry of teams that have shaped the region’s competitive history. The continued growth of Latin American esports rests in part on the many squads, past and present, that carried their national colours into the LLA arena and helped sustain the scene’s momentum.
