HANJIN BRION beat Nongshim RedForce in three-game LCK series

HANJIN BRION defeated Nongshim RedForce 2-1 in the LCK Rise Group. BRION won the opening game, Nongshim answered in game two, and BRION controlled the decider.

Teddy received the player-of-the-match award after a strong series from the bottom lane. His Lucian helped BRION finish the deciding game with a clear lead.

BRION won a long and open first game

The opening game lasted 39 minutes and produced frequent fights. Nongshim selected Olaf, Lee Sin, Anivia, Jhin and Camille. BRION answered with Ambessa, Skarner, Cassiopeia, Corki and Shen. BRION finished the game with 32 kills. Nongshim recorded 20. The winning side also destroyed nine towers and gained a large gold advantage before the final push. Teddy led BRION with twelve kills on Corki. Casting died only once while playing Ambessa. GIDEON took part in most BRION eliminations while playing the jungle role.

Scout produced Nongshim’s largest kill total with Anivia. The team remained active during the long middle game, but BRION gained more control around Baron and the outer towers. BRION converted that wider map into the first point of the series. Nongshim then changed four champion choices for the second draft.

Nongshim levelled the series in game two

Nongshim responded in 30 minutes. Kingen played Rumble, Sponge used Jarvan IV, Scout selected Syndra, Diable took Sivir, and Lehends supported with Alistar. Scout completed the game with eight kills and no deaths. Sponge also finished without a death and joined sixteen eliminations from the jungle. Nongshim built its lead through the lanes and then controlled Baron and the dragons. The team finished with eighteen kills and eight towers. BRION ended with nine kills and three towers.

BRION gave GIDEON Naafiri and Teddy Ezreal for the reply. GIDEON found seven kills, but the composition could not reach Nongshim’s back line often enough. Nongshim’s victory made the series level after two games. The deciding draft then brought another complete change for both teams.

Teddy closed the deciding game on Lucian

BRION selected Yorick, Xin Zhao, Annie, Lucian and Yuumi for the decider. Nongshim used Jayce, Trundle, Viktor, Xayah and Milio. Teddy recorded nine kills and one death. Casting completed the game without a death on Yorick. Namgung also stayed alive throughout the game while supporting Lucian with Yuumi. BRION finished the map with nineteen kills. Nongshim managed four. The result came after 31 minutes and gave BRION the final point of the series.

Nongshim still destroyed five towers, but the team could not match BRION during the final fights. BRION added eight towers and completed the last push with a clear gold lead. Teddy’s damage from the bottom lane decided several late exchanges. His performance across all three games earned the individual match award.

The result came from three distinct games

The opener was long and included 52 combined kills. Nongshim then produced the shortest game of the series. BRION answered with the clearest score in the decider. Casting, GIDEON, Roamer, Teddy and Namgung started all three games for BRION. Nongshim used Kingen, Sponge, Scout, Diable and Lehends throughout the series. The teams changed several champions after every game. Only a small number of picks returned in the following draft. The different lineups produced different leading players.

BRION gained the opening advantage through Corki and Ambessa. Nongshim levelled the score through Syndra and Jarvan IV. Lucian and Yorick then led BRION’s final win. BRION left with a 2-1 Rise Group victory. The team recovered from the second-game defeat and controlled the decider.

BRION spread the work across the roster

Teddy supplied the largest scoring contribution for BRION. He led the first game on Corki and the decider on Lucian. His two carry performances surrounded the team’s only defeat. Casting also produced an important deciding game. He finished without a death on Yorick and helped BRION control the side lanes. GIDEON joined ten eliminations with Xin Zhao. Roamer used Cassiopeia, Ryze and Annie across the series. Namgung moved from Shen to Nautilus and then Yuumi. Those changes gave BRION three different approaches around the bottom lane.

Nongshim found its best response through Scout in game two. His unbeaten Syndra performance helped level the series. BRION limited him to one kill in the deciding game. The final result did not come from one repeated draft. BRION won with different carries and different front-line choices. That range supported the 2-1 series victory.
