About HowL Esports
HowL Esports was a Greek competitive organisation that participated in the Hellenic Legends League, the national League of Legends competition for Greece situated within the wider EMEA region. The team has since disbanded, yet its record as a former Hellenic Legends League participant places it among the domestic outfits that have helped sustain organised competition at the national level in one of Europe’s smaller but passionate esports communities.
The Hellenic Legends League
The Hellenic Legends League is Greece’s premier domestic tier for League of Legends, part of the extensive network of regional and national leagues that operate beneath EMEA’s top-flight competition. These national circuits give local players a structured environment in which to compete, and they act as feeder systems where standout performers can attract the attention of larger organisations across the continent. For a country like Greece, such a league is central to keeping a homegrown scene alive and giving domestic talent somewhere to develop.
Team and Players
HowL Esports fielded a compact roster during its time in the league, with D1verse, Kartso and Jovian listed among its players. A smaller recorded lineup is common for domestic teams, which often run lean cores supplemented by additional players as circumstances demand. These competitors carried the HowL name into national play and represented the organisation against fellow Greek sides.
Reflections on a Former Team
With HowL Esports no longer active, the organisation now belongs to the history of Greek competitive League of Legends. Its participation added to the depth of the Hellenic Legends League and contributed to the broader effort of nurturing esports within Greece. Teams at this level rarely enjoy lasting stability, but each one plays a role in maintaining the vitality of national competition, and HowL’s involvement stands as part of that ongoing story even after its closure.
